Further proving the fact that Skip Bayless is among the biggest retard reporters, apparently our beloved Jets (who have the 3rd most sacks in the league) cant rush the passer. I dont disagree with the fact that our secondary isnt great, but neither are the titans wrs. Am i biased or is Bayless the fucking retard we think he is.
unless he means that they send 3 when they shouldn't, allowing teams to get closer in terms of score... thats one thing. But Bayless has made a living off of being "shocking" to garner attention. He is nothing.
The only Jet game Bayless probably saw this year was the one last week against the Pats when they barely got to Cassell the entire game. If he watched them the entire year or even look at the stats they are 2nd or 3rd in the league in total sacks. Obviusly he has no idea what he is talking about.
The stats say we get a lot of sacks but we rarely pressure the QB. Week after week of crappy qb's having 3 or 4 seconds is just awful to watch. Jenkins, Ellis, Pace and Thomas need to get after the qb every play.
It is obviously, even laughably, incorrect to say the Jets have no pass rush, but I also agree that total sacks are not a pure indicator of how much pressure the Jets apply over the course of the game. Oftentimes there seems to be very little, particularly on third down when you would expect it to be more so. I think it's a coaching issue. But yes, Bayless is not someone I have respect for.

Sacks are a misleading stat in regards to pass rush. Consistent QB pressure is much more important than sacks. And we haven't been able to generate consistent pressure for more than a half during any game. We do have a pass rush but not on the level that our "3rd in sacks" ranking would lead you to believe. Oh, it also needs to be said that Skip is basically just a real-life troll. I'm sure deep down he knows his stuff but no way would he get near the publicity he does now if we were to show that.
If Bayless is referring to that retarded fckn prevent D that Sutton dials up when we're supposed to be closing out teams, then he's right. Other than that, he needs to see his proctologist soon as possible before he suffocates from having his head up his ass.
I dunno. I've seen the Jets pressure with 4 and I've seen them blitz as well. They tend to get after QB's early in games, then take the 3rd qtr off. Ask Sutton for an explanation.
Collins isn't exactly the most mobile QB the Jets will face this year so I think we can get some pressures on him. Perhaps not a ton of sacks, but pressures and hits take a toll as well.
