Pacman Jones has been reinstated to the NFL, but won't be playing the next two games. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/11118662 Over/under on the time until his next "incident"?
Why is this guy allowed to put on a uniform? He is nothing but a wise assed, money throwin, POS in my book. Goodell should have kept his balls and kicked his ass back to the Vegas strip club where this whole thing started. Ultimately, money wins out in the end. This creates exposure for the NFL, maybe not good exposure, but do they really care. People have criticized the NFL for not letting players express themselves as individuals on the field. Won't this incident draw more exposure to Jones and the Cowboys? I guess you can't make a name for youself on the field with colorful dances and clothing woithout drawing a penalty, but you can make an ass of yourself all over American headlines and still keep your job. Randy Moss "mooning" the fans and Joe Horn calling someone after a TD were classic celebrations that the NFL won't allow; but I would take that over an asshole drunk that wants to beat up the guy the team hired to keep him in line.
Can we call him Pacman again? I don't think the name change had any effect on his behavior, so why not stick with what's tried and true? No more Adam Jones. 1. make it rain: When you're in da club with a stack, and you throw the money up in the air at the strippers. The effect is that it seems to be raining money. After Leroy finished trapping for the night, he went to the strip club, got 10 stacks, and made it rain inside the club the whole night. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=make it rain
It takes 9 chances????? This guy shouldn't have been allowed to come back in preseason but he got in trouble AGAIN and now he's been let off the hook. It's ridiculous that this guy keeps getting chances, he doesn't deserve to put on an NFL uniform.
This time there were no legal issues. I personally think Goodell went too far even suspending him. I think any and all suspensions should be given out only if the player gets in trouble with the law.
No he didn't, the man got into a fight w/ the bodyguards hired to protect him. There's more than enough cause to suspend him w/ his history. He should not be allowed back in the game, hopefully inn the coming months when he gets in ntrouble again he'll finally be suspended for life from this league.
What happened was a personal matter and didn't involve the law. Thus he shouldn't have been suspended. He has problems and I hope he can conquer his demons, but this event did not warrant suspension in my opinion.
He got into a fight with a Team-Issued bodyguard, who was hired to keep him out of trouble. He was already on a short leash for paralyzing a man, and he violates his league probation. Suspension MORE than warranted. I'm surprised Goodell went back on his word and is giving him ANOTHER chance. The only solace I have, is that he will fuck up again and be gone for good.
HE did not paralyze anyone. This incident was still a private matter that did not involve the law. In my opinion any private matter that does not involve the law should not be punishable by the NFL. It's my opinion that this incident should not have warranted a suspension.
He was a direct participant in the events leading to a man being paralyzed. The event wasn't private, by any means. A Dallas Cowboys representative got into an altercation with a Dallas Cowboys appointed representative. The Dallas Cowboys are an NFL team. NFL issue. Suspension.
Then it should have been handled by the team not the NFL. The NFL did not suspend Steve Smith when he punched his teammate.
So what. This incident was an internal Dallas Cowboys matter. What does the league have to do with this in anyway?
Adam Jones has singlehandedly made the NFL and it's players look like complete asshats with his constant violations of laws, rules and general decency. Goodell is protecting the league image by suspending Jones.
