The last laugh is that he hasn't won a Super Bowl since the band broke up after the '05 season. Like Parcells himself hasn't won it without Belichick, Belichick hasn't won it without Crennel and Wise. While I acknowledge he's a successful coach, his coaching "brilliance" is a function of the sum of the parts assembled.

I hear you, but the fact remains, he hasn't won a Super Bowl since his core group of coaches left. He's like the Joe Torre of the NFL: multiple championships, then can't get over the hump again.
He's still obviously a great coach but I do think the media gives him a pass all the time on things that they kill other coaches for.
