The Steelers defense currently ranks No. 1 in the NFL against the run, No. 1 against the pass, and No. 1 in fewest total yards.

No team has accomplished that feat since the 1991 Eagles led by Reggie White, Jerome Brown, and Seth Joyner. Opponents have scored just 14 touchdowns on them all season.

If you've got the right personnel and play in it for a few years, the 3-4 defense can be a thing of beauty.

I have been saying this all throughout the season, but it would be nice if we can steal Dick Leboue (sp) away from them as a DC. The guy's blitz packages and ability to hide where they're coming from are outstanding. He will definitely be offered a HC job sometime this off-season.

I don?t think he?ll get another Chance as a HC. He?s 72 when the next season starts and he already failed as the Bengals HC, he had only 12 wins in 3 years, that?s bad even for the Bungals.

Lebeau should be in the HOF as a defensive back, but he's also making a case for the HOF as an Assistant Coach.

I just checked his history. I didn't know he had a few shots at HC before. Damn that sucks. But, whatever he is doing this year with the talent the Steelers have, is working very well.

The Steelers defense has been in the top third of the league since the early 90's it seems. The defense starts with the Nose tackle and the two outside linebackers. Whether it's James Harrison, Woodley, Clark Haggans, Kevin Greene, Greg LLoyd they always big outside linebackers that terrorize opposing teams.

He?s not the first great coordinator that sucks as a HC and he won?t be the last.
