I don't really want to get into "this is the key to winning" however, if we can shutdown the Titans rushing attack I think we will have a pretty good chance at winning. The match up with Mawae and Jenkins should be loads of fun to watch.

What concerns me the most is Johnson getting to the outside. I think we can handle White up the middle.

Seeing how TEs keep getting good games against us ... I would add shutting down Bo Scaife to your "keys to winning" list

I don't know. Chicago and the Jags both shut it down and still lost. Once they did Collins just went to the air and won that way.

    I do.

Tennessee's least strong part of their defense is rushing yardage. Get the run going to set up the pass. Tennessee has a 28 sacks so the key is to keep them guessing on play action. 3rd and long is going to be bad. Tenn has 25 takeaways, most in the league.

On the other side of the ball it is the same old story. Stop the run, force them to pass, get a couple of turnovers. They rarely turn the ball over but we should be able to create some pressure and force a turnover or two.

I've been wondering the same thing.
Chicago and Jax have taken that approach, successfully shut down the run, only to lose thru the air.

I don't think Mawae, or really anyone, can handle Jenkins at this point.
The Titans will be forced to hit the air, and likely work the screens and draws to Johnson once air game established.

If the Jets sit back in zone, Collins will make them pay.
They need to get agreesive against the statue Collins. Mix in various blitz packages. Send a corner...etc.
Tenn has no Moss type WR where I"d be worried leaving Revis on an island.

I am more concerned with scoring points in this game than with stopping them. Personnel wise, we match up well in both the run and pass game IMO. The only thing that concerns me about there offense is Chris Johnson in the PASSING game when our LB's are matched up in coverage against him.

Will Harris be back next Sunday? If so, I would feel a lot more comfortable about the Jets' chances of handling Johnson's burst to the outside.

I cannot wait for the matchup between Mawae and Jenkins either. I always been a fan of his, even after his messy departure, but I totally wanna see Jenkins just tossing him aside like he does to so many other Centers and Guards. Mawae will probably play some inspired ball against his old team, though.

Good point. Their Dline is excellent.
Don't be surprised to see the Jets work in a lot of screens and draws when there line gets overly agressive.
Bullock a good LB, but losing a step, and would be way outmatched in space with Leon.
Look for Leon to be very active.

The Jets Offensive plan and Titans Offensive plan will be quite similar.

Special teams and turnovers are going to be the way to score. Field position will be king.

The Jets matchup GREAT vs. the Titans. I think the Jets can shut down their run and their pass. Revis will shut down Gage, Law will shut down McCareins. The Titans will be forced to run. I just wish David Harris would be back for this one.

Leon Washington needs to be the featured offensive play maker.

shut down the run, and press the WRs. Physical game on sunday. The Jets have to be more physical than the Titans to win.

The Jets do match up very well with Tennessee defensively. Offensively, we will need to prove again that we are for real because I don't think our offense has reached its full potential passing the ball just yet, and they have a very good defense.

turnovers is the biggest thing. They are turnover makers. I hope things aren't too conservative on offense.
