"Jets +6" basically means you're betting on who would win the game if the score at the star of the game was Jets 6, Titans 0 (hence Jets +6). If you think the Jets would, you'd bet "Jets +6." If you think the Titans would, it'd be Titans -6 (because they would start the game being down by six).

I'm not seeing 6 anywhere anymore. Pretty much 5 to 5.5 everywhere I look. 6 is a huge number though, so I could see why they would move off it.
