No game in the NFL should end in a tie. Eagles 13 Bengals 13 play until theres a WINNER.

you can live with ties in the regular season because they're so rare.

The rules are fine. If neither team can win in regulation or overtime, then neither team should get credit for a win. Maybe the Eagles/Bengals should have played better.

I disagree. There should be more ties.

I'd rather have the college OT. So much more exciting.

But in a game like this, niether deserves a win, they both played like total shit.

I like the college OT myself. It gives both teams a more even chance to win the game. I hate the fact that the team who wins the toss has an enormous chance of winning the game because of a field goal. Get to the 30 and if your kicker is good then you've won. Bleh.

I also like the college way of giving both teams a shot at winning. The coin flip winner in pro overtime is just too big of an advantage. But I would have the pro teams start at the 50. That way they'd have to make some yardage before getting in FG range.

if neither team can get into field goal position for an entire quarter then they dont deserve a win.

Apparently McNabb had no clue ties even existed.

What a stupid rule though. We need to move to the college OT. The majority of the fans want it so what's the big problem

I'm sorry, but if you are a QB in the NFL, how the heck do you not know that rule? Seriously? That speaks badly both about him and his coach.

I guess we now know how those 2 always get along. I mean, it's bad enough you tie the Bengals, but when your star QB and HC don't know simple rules it's somewhat frightening. I'd imagine it would've changed the way they played that OT had they actually known what 99.9% of the average fan knows.

they didn't realize it ended in a tie? the ref actually tells them the rules before the coin flip for overtime. they cant be serious.

You know what? You're right. The referees actualy explain the rules at the start of OT. WTF was McNabb not paying attention?
