Blatantly obvious success might be the only kind of success Jets fans will take, but since the season isn't even done yet that isn't going to be seen yet. And your last point is just repeating what I said. I expect nothing less from fans, but it'd be nice to expect more. Fans are fans are fans. If the Jets go into Tennessee and win there 5th straight game against a 10-0 team on the road giving them the 2nd best record in the AFC, will they be considered title contenders?
Absolutely they would be considered a contender. If they continue to improve their play and on a sidebar, keep learning how to win the tough games, the Jets should and will receive the respect from the NFL world and from its still somewhat skeptical fanbase.
If the Jets go into TN and play with them and have a tough road loss were contenders. We beat Miami, Buffalo and NE on the road. We take care of business in our division and get to 11 or 12 wins we are a contender.

Your definitely sealing your status as leader of the darksiders! You can't seem to grasp the fact that the Jets remade their team this year and it took a while to jell. They are now on a roll and are not the same team that lost in Oakland! Sorry if this is too complicated for you to follow!
We're definitely contenders. I thought the first half at New England was probably the most complete Jets performance I've seen (up to the last 2 minutes). If we can keep up that kind of form we really have a chance. We're even kicking fieldgoals now.
