I'm really looking forward to this game for several reason but the trenches are going to be great to watch, especially the centers vs the nose tackles.

    Mangold vs. Haynesworth:
Arguably the best defensive player in the NFL right now goes up against our 3rd year all-pro center. I want to see how Mangold handles him, but obviously Haynesworth is going to see double teams from faneca too.

    Mawae vs. Jenkins:
We may not have Haynesworth, but Jenkins is nothing to complain about. He's been stellar this year and lets see how former Jet center deals with him.

Overall i think this game is going to be won and lost in the trenches, lets hope the jets lines comes to play and we get out of there with a win.

this game will be won in the trenches. the jets have a chance.

Collins won't kill our secondary the way he did chicago's. We have a better corner, but who covers bo sciafe?

    no turnovers too.

I actually am less worried about the Titans matchup then I was vs. Pats... I think we can beat them.

The defensive player will easily win both of those battles.

The most important Jet next Sunday is going to be Reggie Hodges.

You might think that sounds a little defeatist, but it's not. We're going to be playing a field position game with the Titans. If we can play the game on their side of the field, we'll win.

Let's go Reggie!!! No one ever talks up the punter but he needs some cheers this week. We need a strong game out of him.

I'm more worried about Vanden Bosch vs D'brick, if I remember correctly Vanden Bosch had a big day against us last year.

    My thoughts on it:

Rhodes, or put Law at safety across from Rhodes and have him cover Scaife. Scaife isn't as fast as the real speed TEs like Winslow, Watson, Olsen, Keller, Shockey, and so forth. He's just a damned good receiver.

The Titans will probably look at the film of the Patriots game and do what they did with Wilfork - Keep him on a guard, NOT on Mangold. Make Mangold slide to assist the guard or just isolate Haynesworth on Faneca and Moore (more likely Moore on running downs, Faneca on passing downs).

Mawae won't be on Jenkins one on one. Expect a lot of help by Jake Scott, which will make things extremely difficult for Jenkins. It'll be another one of those "oh shit, we'd better try to wear him down" responses by the Titans, though when you think about it, this is a very common response (or at least it should be) to Kris Jenkins.

I'd prefer Rhodes; he's our only DB that can match up to Scaife height-wise.

double scaife and commit eight in the box, that's what I'd do.

mawae has been called the dirtiest player ever. cheap shots, etc. so plan on mawae doing someting dirty that REALLY pisses jenkins off, then remember way back to thursday night when a pissed off jenkins got his sack.
