My thoughts? This thread is trolling, plain and simple.

What ifs don't amount to jack sh*t. They're just jacking around, wasting time.

    Move on.

To note: Favre has the second best QB rating of all the QB's in the AFC. In fact, this mourning, Favre and Peyton Manning we're being talked about as possibly the two best QB's in the AFC overall this season.

That's saying something for being an old man.

who was saying this? Neither one has been one of the best QBs in the AFC this season but if favre keeps playing like he has recently then we can put him near the top.

Mike and Mike in the mourning, the Mike Tourico show, etc. Mostly ESPN radio people.

Look at the AFC QB's - who are the ones at the top this season? Favre has a argument because of his TD numbers, completion percentage, adn the fact he has the second best QB rating in the entire AFC. Favre may already be in the top 2.

so mostly people who don't have a clue what they are talking about? Tirirco was the same guy who, when calling our game at SD, noted how david barrett looked like a corner the way he piecked off Rivers and noted how he used to play corner in AZ meanhwile he was a corner for us until about a month before that game.

I am putting the favre arguments on hold for now. I am thrilled w/ the way he played last night and I don't want to discuss negatives today.

Actually, he would have won the coin toss, and when asked if he wants to receive the ball or kick the ball, he would have elected to "go home".

    No and No.

The feeling that I get knowing that Favre is on this team is completely different than the last 5 years of Chad. I had a similar feeling with Chad when he was the guy headbutting teammates and playing so well that he was drawing Montana comparisons. Over the years my confidence in him waned, to the point of knowing he wasn't going to come through.

I'm not lying when I say this, when the Pats tied the score, I felt 100% confident that Favre was going to lead us to a score on the next drive. I would've probably thrown a brick through my TV if the circumstances played out like that in the past.

People can laugh about the 'intangible' factor with Favre, but I don't care, that guy has instilled confidence back into this team no matter how dire the situation. NO WAY the Jets win this game in the past...

I find it hysterical that you credit Chad for beating the Pats when the gameplan called for him to be lined up at WR on all the effective offensive plays...

38-13 against all but one real pat--(Brady) pennington 17-20 226 yds
farve did it on a pats d without thomas, harrison among others on offense like maroney

the only thing that farve has on chad is a better arm and to tell u the truth most of his balls deep are coming up short right now.... chad has thrown a better deep ball than farve this year .... the one last week to ginn ... i beleive we would have the same record this year if we had chad

I like Chad - always have, always will, but a better arm is not the only thing Favre has over him. For one he's got a Super Bowl. 2, he's got a couple MVP's as well.

Whatever though, you are a fan and can think whatever you want. If you think we'd have the same record if Chad was still the QB, that's fine. I don't think we would have the same record. Neither one of us is wrong.

I'll concede that this is the first game all year in which Favre's skills made enough of a difference.

We all should thank Woody for pushing Tanny & Manny to acquire Favre cause if Woody would not have stepped in Favre would not be a NYJ

Tanny persued Favre until the last minute. All reports said Tanny spearheaded this deal. Don't make things up. Thats fake news and its illegal here.

COSIGN. And actually, I read several places that Mangini was the guy who convinced Favre to ok the deal on the phone.

Trolling. Are you freaking kidding. The poster is calling out all the darksiders who suddenly LOVED Chad when he was traded but were the same ones who HATED Chad when he was here. They loved Favre when he was with the Packers but called it a mistake when he was here. It's important to point out that Favre gives us a much better chance to win than Chad and that most people who claim otherwise are clueless!
