Jet: Patriots defense 'old and slow'
One Jets offensive player, who spoke under the condition of anonymity because he didn't want to provide bulletin board fodder for the Patriots, talked about being "sick to our stomachs" about the Jets' 19-10 loss in Week 2 at the Meadowlands. He felt the Patriots were vulnerable - particularly on defense. Not to mention it was the first game with Matt Cassel at quarterback, after Tom Brady was injured in Week 1 vs. the Chiefs. The player spoke matter-of-factly about how "slow" and "old" a number of the New England defenders are and how he believes the Jets should be able to put up "a lot of points" on them tonight. Actually I hope that makes them play more aggressive, so we can stomp the crap out of them with the off-time plays.

How the hell does being anonymous not make it bulletin board fodder? Idiot.

Let them play over aggressive....perfect weather for the screen and (god forgive me for saying this) the draw.

Get their big fat asses moving on a full head of steam and we'll see how well they cut.

hey the way TJ is running behind that line, let them run the draw.

one screen every 4 series though. I'm tired of the screen pass, unless Brad Smith is going to dance for 14 yards.

I don't mind if we give them all the bulletin board matter they can fit as long as we still kick their asses. That would even make it more sweet just like SB 3.

And if it was Law, thats the kind of shit that I didn't want from him, and there he goes running his mouth.

As I have his jersey on my back heading out the door.... i'm a hypocrite.

This is the game where bulletin board material should be OK. The Jets should be able to guarantee this Joe Namath style, and then go out and do it. This game is THAT important.

It says "One Jets offensive player", and he talks about week 2.

    Its not Ty Law.

Maybe it was Favre....lol. What is that about the pot and kettle?

Seriously, it was probably Fanaca. He don't give a shit what he says and if they don'y like it he will just kick their asses. One at a time or all at once.

I actually expect a nice dose of screens and draws...the Pats D-line is healthy and they aren't easy to run on...well run screens are an excellent way to gain short yardage...hell thats what the Pats have done with Welker in his time there....if you can't run the ball...get the ball to your WRs quickly.

    Whatever does the job really.

One thing we need to do on offense is eat up time. The Pats are experts at this on offense, but they can go fuck themselves if they think they'll win the possession battle tonight.

Personally I hate screens. It's an invitation for a pick. We have to play this game to win it outright. Not play it close and hope for luck at the end like we usually do. If we play that way we will lose it. Like one columnist wrote today. We brought Favre in to win games like this. Not to run Thomas Jones 3 times in a row from the 2 yard line like we did in week 2. If you remember he didn't make it and that is why we lost. If that fat fuck is dumb enough to play this game like that one I'll never have any respect for him again.
