I know i posted a thread giving Feely props after the game but don't get me confused by thinking that I want him for the rest of the year....He played very well Sunday but has been so inconsistent that I don't know what to expect from him on Thurs...Sunday was no pressure all day and he nailed his kicks...give credit where credit is due...but there is bound to be more pressure thursday...

nugent is still our kicker...he has turned out to be far more consistent and is a good kicker...i will take nugent over feely in the long run...but am not unhappy we have feely kicking in the mean time...

    thoughts?

have a kick off every week in practice! best out of 20 kicks from random spots gets to play that week.

in reality i have no clue the kickers are way to hard to have any idea about.

You could have done all this in one thread.

Yeah, starting a new thread seemed a lil' unnecessary, but whatever.

Anyway, I like ukilledkenny's idea, but god help us if we have to keep 2 kickers on the roster all year long.

Right now Jay Feely's on fire, so I say stick with that. I don't trust Nugent on short or long kicks, pressure or no pressure. I'm slightly more comfortable with Feely at this point.

Both kickers are inconsistent. The only difference is one is earning a helluva lot more than the other. Why you think an overpaid mediocre kicker is better than an fairly-paid mediocre kicker is beyond me.

I'm breaking balls. I can read two, I have nothing else going on.

Yeah, but I don't think this is a cap issue.

I'm not really happy with either of them. I want a kicker with at least the accuracy both of them have displayed, but also a guy who can consistently kick the ball into the endzone on KOs. That does so much to take the other team's return game out of it. I love our coverage unit but they shouldn't need to make those tackles on every KO.

Oh I know. I'm just saying, that's the only thing that really separates both of them given that when it's all said and done, they both give me the same results. I would take cheap mediocrity over expensive mediocrity any day.

    niether are great.

For now, I would stay with who's hot, and that happens to be Feely. He has done nothing right now, to lose his job.

I trust feely more than I trust Nugent, there's no way I make the change aftre the game he had yesterday and let's not forget the man nailed a 50+ yarder to tie a game a few weeks ago. I think Nugent will evntually get his job back but he better be 100% w/o questions. I don't like changing K's this week.
