Dial me back up when you consider that he now a superstar LT totally dominating the other sides player
Um, ring, ring.. Hello Champ, how about that dominant LT the Jets, the guy that is totally dominating the other sides player?
Very close. Now we just need consistency and total Lock Down (In most games) for him to be that A+ Blindside LT. He's been Very Good this year.
D'Brick was pretty much incredible today. I have yet to rewatch but he totally kept his man at bay everytime I looked to his side. On the screen play, he pretty much latched on to the LB and stuck with him til the play was over. You don't know how many times I scream at a screen play gone bad because of horrible O-Line blocking. It's so good to see our O-Line getting back to the way we had when It was dominant a few years back. Excellent job today.
Haynesworth blew him up once, but all told, the whole line was incredible today. Props to the playcalling and Favre, too..
i watched the first half, then listened to second on radio. Marty Lyons sounded super impressed with Bricks run blocking
Gentlemen, the biggest problem that I see is that Brick cannot handle the "Bull Rush". You can push him back into the QB. Other than that, he is not playing that bad. Pro bowl... not yet but... With a little more work and some more beef on his bones... Other than that, I believe we are set at left tackle (barring an injury) for the next 10 years.
The fact that Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch were near non-factors in this game means the whole O-Line needs serious props. Haynesworth IIRC got one cheap sack and collapsed the pocket on Vanden Bosch's one legit sack. That's pretty much it. D'Brick looked really good, especially in pass pro.
D'brick Pro-Bowl starter? no But after watching all the games this year he should at least be a sub after looking at who made it in. Either him or Long (Who I wanted in the draft). It's ok though, he has made major improvements and as long as he keeps getting better he'll be there one day. GJ so far D'Brick!!
He's really developed this year and it is easy when you have the best guard in the NFL next door. D'Brick needs to work on his run blocking, but his pass protection has really improved.
He's a pro bowl alternate. His two running backs are pro bowl starters, his wingman is a pro bowl starter, his center is a pro bowl back-up and his quarterback is is a pro bowl back-up. Drafting D'Brick at number 4 was a huge success. End of thread.
Definately worth the 4th overall pick. Took him some time but he's dominant man. He's givin up what? 3 Sacks all year ?
