It seems that we have no back up running backs or lineman -- to put in at the end of the game.

I was nervous that Jones/Leon were going to get hurt.

I agree. Watching Leon run between the tackles was a bad idea. Yeah, no problem if he goes down! Why didn't they replace Chapman with another backup?

The Jets only brought two runnning backs to the game today . . . (Mark Mason was put on the inactive list)

    Our 3rd RB was inactive.

Although, we could have let Kellen Clemens play some RB being as we have 4 QBs on the roster they have to be able to be versatile >__>

I'm amazed they only managed 3 points. And not to mention KC showcased his best drive as a NFL QB <smirk>

Not resting some starters makes zero sense.
How rare is it that the Jets are blowing someone out 40-0 at halftime?
There could NOT have been a better opportunity to get Clemens some playing time + resting Favre on a short week.
There could NOT have been a better opportunity to get Gholston some serious reps at OLB.
S--t, even get Murrell in there at the other OLB position.
Lets see these guys in action!

what a wonderful week, the only thing that could have ruined this game was a key injury. but leon and tj are both fine and so are the lineman. good thing its a short week we have so little to talk about after a game like that.

    Absolutely!!!!

Didn't make sense to me to leave Favre, Mangold, Jones and others in when we play our biggest game in years in 4 days....take the possible injury factor out and just realize your QB is OLDER than you Mangini!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason that I can think of is that the team is just starting to jell, (just starting to play as a unit) and Mangini thought that the team needed more reps together. While I concede the "Injury" argument, (we SERIOUSLY lack any depth in the trenches) I must say that the last 2 games have been the most "Complete" games we have played so far this season.

There's only so many subs you can have to put in. With 22 starters, a kicker, a punter, and various other positions where you need more backups, you can't have active backups everywhere. Leon and TJ didn't have a 3rd back for most of the year until Chatman came back.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game but saw afterwords that Gholston never had a tackle. Did he get on the field at all?

Would have been a perfect time to give him some much needed snaps.

Only way Jones or Leon were getting hurt was to trip over their long wieners but they’re more coordinated than that. They’re all man.

Tuner came in for Fanecca on the last drive and Hunter came in for Woody.

Turner looked good too. 3 straight runs right through his gaps.....
