i dont care if he get 0 picks all year, if he is preventing the long ball, which it seems like he is. than he is doing his job. i do feel like today would be a good time for him to get some picks though. the rams offense needs the big plays to survive. lately for them it seems like bulger will be 5-15 with 45 yards and then he throws a 60 yard td pass to start to make his numbers look respectable. so bulger will probably try to take a few more shots downfield than we are used to seeing on this defense. hopefully rhodes can make a few plays.
The numbers may not be there, but Kerry Rhodes is having a very, very good season. I know we all want him to rack up INTs and Sacks so that he can FINALLY make the Pro Bowl, but what he's doing now is just as good. At least once a game he makes a big play on a ball thrown down the field- and, surprise surprise, there aren't that many balls thrown deep on us, simply because he's too good at reacting to them and making plays.
Agreed. I guess I meant he will have a big day today, in a noticable way. Interceptions, Sacks, Passes defended. Just watch.
By the way- I was just watching Jets 24/7, and I gotta say- it's awesome to see how close Rhodes & Revis have gotten. Hopefully their relationship will be incentive for both of them to stay Jets for the extent of their careers....
Anyone watching Jets 24/7? Hilarious part with Revis and Rhodes. Revis: "Its a thrill to go against the best in the league. Heck, I get a thrill going against Brett each day at practice. I got a couple picks off him." Rhodes raises his hand. "I got a couple too." Good times.
