This election will go down as the worst day in American history. Anyone with half a brain will begin to realize this in the next few years. I'm going to start off by stating I don't give a shit about the color of Obama's skin. What is going to destroy this country is the fact that he's a flaming liberal and his policies are going to destroy the foundation on which this country was built. I will also state for the record I'm not going to debate this topic. I'm sure many will disagree, especially New York liberals, but come back to me in two years and tell me I'm wrong. This is what you are going to see in coming years: 1. Extended rule by the Democrats - Obama will give citizenship to every illegal alien in this country. Not because it's the right thing to do, but because it will help his party. This could add another 22 million Democrats and basically doom the Republican party. 2. Huge tax increases - Obama already has proposed increasing the maximum take care by three to four percent. Of course that probably please many people, especially the approximately 90 million that pay no taxes whatsoever. Seriously, pay your own bills with your own fucking money, not mine. 3. Significant increases in utility bills - Obama wants to cap energy production to reduce global warming. What exactly do you think that going to do to your utility bills? Watch as they go through the roof. 4. Buy those guns now - Obama has implied he actually wants to change some of the principals on which the US constitution is based. Watch as the Democrats try to pass laws so that only the bad guys will get weapons off the black market. 5. Socialized medicine - Like going to a doctor of your choice? Better go see them now because if Obama has his way you're not going to have a choice. Ask the people in England how well socialized medicine works. 6. Gay marriage - If you're gay, good for you. However, I don't want my children being taught about homosexuality in the second grade as has happened in Massachusetts. Hopefully, this wont happen, but with perhaps as many as four Supreme Court Justices due to be replaced with flaming liberals I wouldn't put it past anyone. 7. Support Israel? Well then if you voted for Obama, you're either uneducated or a fool, because if you think you have a strong ally in Obama you're delusional. Obama won't act on his own, he will try to build world consensus. You know where that's going to bring us. 8. Crime, terrorism, welfare, big government, etc. I could go on and on, but by now you've got the point. And that is, be careful what you ask for, you might just get it. On a final note did anyone see Howard Stern interviewing voters in Harlem? "So did you like Obama's choice of Sarah Palin for Vice President?" "Oh yes, that was a very good choice." "Do you agree with Obama that we should not allow abortion?" "Yes, I think he got the right view on that one" These are the fucking idiots that are deciding what's going to happen to our country. Sad, very sad. Like I said, unless it's civil I'm not going to respond to replies to this post. Just come back in two years and we'll see who's wrong. My only hope is that some of the more liberal Republicans can stick with the rest of the party and filibuster any of the asinine measures you are going to see coming out of Capital Hill.
i'd like to point out that Montana is seriously considering secession because of Obama's gun policy and that Vermont is having a secession convention on Friday because they feel like they have the right to be a republic as they were from 1777-1791. All of this is in the news, just google them. VT's thing was scheduled before Obama won. I haven't heard the word secession used seriously before. That fact alone makes this the blackest day in American history. Good post too.

Unfortunately, I disagree with much of your post. as I am Pro-Choice, for Gay Marriages. I do believe in the right to own a gun but Not a friggin automatic Machine gun meant for war. But what I will say is that there are idiots in every group and if you are going to take a Howard Stern interview and run with it you are choosing the wrong tool to make a point. and for the record, when you say: "These are the fucking idiots that are deciding what's going to happen to our country." Um, no they're not. We will decide. and what is "these" I would clarify because it screams Racist (That's how it reads). Especially by calling it the "Blackest day in Americn History". The rant seems as if has bigotry written all over it. I see this thread going bad and getting locked because it will get ugly but this is what we need to help each other understand. Unfortunately, many are too hard headed to even hear what the other has to say and try and see if they have a point. I'm not going to overreact, which was my first instinct, but that was a lot of speculation. Socialized medicine: I understand it's the cool thing to do to call Obama a socialist, and his economic policies lend themselves to that in some way, but his healthcare plan, while pretty liberal, isn't socialized medicine. If you believe he isn't representing his policies truthfully, than that's something else. Israel: As a big supporter of Israel, I think you're dead, dead wrong. I'm encouraged by his selection of Biden as his VP, and many of his public statements, in this regard. You provide no substantial evidence on this point. Gay Marriage: This is an extremely polarizing issue so I won't go there, but it's not like Obama is more to left on this than the average Democrat. Utility Bills: Didn't McCain support a similar system? Illegal aliens: I thought all of McCain's supporters were upset at him over his similar position to Obama on this issue. Thus the whole "rallying the base" discussion. You have a point about taxes, but that's nothing new.

Just to focus on point 5. I see a lot of negative comment and press about universal health care or 'socialized' medicine as you put it. It has always seemed plain ridiculous to my eyes, and probably to most other civilized western countries, that a country as rich as yours can't provide a form of universal health care to its citizens. The system in Australia works fine. Those earning a certain level of income have good incentives (tax breaks) to take out private health insurance and everyone (the working poor, elderly) else gets a decent level of care that a human being deserves living in the first world. We can see our own doctor, we just pay a little extra for the privilege (maybe $20 a visit)

If not, I'm guessing you might all jump at the opportunity to trade in your health care for state of the art weaponry. Much more important..

Thank you.... I'm so tired of the argument against any sort of vague system of national health care being, simply "Ask ____ how they like it!" We're the only advanced industrialized nation without it... It's a travesty.... I'll sign on here too

hmm! it must be nice.. I still marvel around here how the same people that are huge supporters of the right to life, could give a shit about that life getting health care down the road, and at the same time advocate for weaponry and preemptive strikes at such enormous costs. I guess its how you prioritize.
The Dems will fail miserably if they attempt to encroach on the 2nd amendment. Never going to happen.
