http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3673441 The San Francisco 49ers were losing badly through 30 minutes of play on Sunday against the Seahawks. And interim coach Mike Singletary pulled no punches during his first halftime speech -- but he did pull down his pants. --- Says he really dropped his pants. I'm off the Singletary hype bus.
More news on this, after he dropped trou he told the players that if they didn't win next week he was gonna bone their wives and make them useless to normal men.
What'd he do? Jump on the table...Stare each player in the eye with a scowl. Then drop his pants. "Do you have one of these!?" "Huh?!" "Cause you're playin like a bunch of girls!"
The Jets will play two games before the 49ers play again. San Francisco is off until 11/10. Kornhole will be calling the next 49ers game.
Well this makes him sound simply out of touch. I just can't imagine that any of the players in the locker room actually took him seriously when he did that; the NFL is just a job status to be maintained for the majority of them and every single player on the 49ers right now is probably sure as hell aware of the shelf life of the average player. There always exists a point where "doing all the little things" just can't compencate for a lack of talent. I guess if San Francisco turns it around, Singleterry will seem like the genuis motivator that brought out the true potential in his team. Hall of fame player most defintiely doesn't necessarily mean HOF coach, so I guess we'll see.
This a is professional sport where men walk around unclad in the lockerroom as a regular practice, sometimes even during post-game interviews. A head coach dropping his pants during his halftime speech to illustrate a point out of infuriation is not a big deal. I think the big deal should be the dickweed that leaked it to the press.
