The teams are all competitive and it will be close at the end of the season as to who takes the divisional crown. The one thing that I like is that there (hopefully) is room for improvement by the Jets if Favre can start cutting down on the INTs and get into better sync with the offense.

I wouldn't go there if I were you.

Name one division where all the teams in that division has positive net points. AFC East is indeed the only one. Not to mention, NFC East/AFC East are the only two divisions whose constituents are all .500 or better. It would be lovely if a division has that lovable loser once in a while (KC rings a bell? Detroit? How about Cincinati?) AFCE/NFCE simply doesn't have that. (We all thought Dolfags will fill that role, but then it wasn't quite the case.)

The East is like every otehr division this year. Out side of the Titans I do not see one team playing to the top of thier ability/talent would leave you to belive from week to week. Injurys have ravaged several of the supposed top teams leaving the rest of the Pack to catch them quickly. Any thing can happen in the AFC this year.

There are no standout teams, but everyone in the division is at least solid. I like our chances, as I think the only games we'll lose will be at TEN and at NE. Anything can happen though.

I'm actually afraid of the Rams because of the OAK game, but hopefully Bulger keeps making mistakes and Revis can grab a INT or 2.

Who do you put revis on?

Holt has lost a step and Avery is now making the plays. I don't see their passing game working.

It will come down to stopping the run like always and limiting turnovers.

You gotta be KIDDING! You don't have to look any further than the team playing in the same stadium as the Jets! Sure, tehy lost one game, but come on ... there has been one perfect team in, what, the last 50 years?

We choose not to notice them if we can avoid it.

You can say that about just about every other division in the AFC

Yea we got 3 teams tied for first at 5-3 and the last place team is 4-4... Its a pretty solid division. Its just not ruled by the pats no more.

Miami is the only AFCE team not to have a winning record in games against non-division opponents.

Exactly. I don't know how to put it more delicately, so here goes: if this division qualifies for "sucks" this year, then ... last year's AFC East was the most ginormous vacuum cleaner in the history of the world. I mean, you take away the 6 games that someone had to win because they were playing each other, the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins were a combined 6-30 last year, if I have my math right. These 3 teams already have 50% more wins this against outside opponents than they had in a whole season last year.

THAT is what a sucky division looks like.
