You can scratch off Clowney from the list Texans to tag or extend his contract.

    *huge sigh of relief*

    BUT

They can still tag him then trade him if there's a team dumb enough to give them what they want in a trade.

I hope that team isn't the Jets.

This is just the beginning, it’s not going to be a strong fa class at all. That 100 mil is going to be hard to spend

They already wasted 35M of it on Enuwa who is off the field more then 60% of the time over the last 3 years IMHO

Do we want to spend all of it though? I'd rather us take a more moderate approach in free agency anyway. Lets just shore up the weak spots.

I'd rather see them NOT spend it than to spend a fortune on a bunch of JAGs.

    That's salary cap he11.

    Leveon Bell is worth it.

    Antonio Brown is worth it.

No. We’ll probably roll a good 15-20 over . I think we would like to spend it but there’s not going to anything worth it

Clowney would be a nice piece. He doesn't move the meter for me. The last two years 9 sacks. Has improved over the years. Be the best dlinemen end we've had but wasn't sold on him. Feel he might be too much money and we wouldn't be happy with the end result.

Jet fans are going to be disappointed when Clowney, Lawrence and Dee Ford stick around with their respective teams. Edge rusher will need to come from the draft. Wouldn't mind Fowler or a Shane Ray for depth.

Fowler has done nothing with the Rams. I would go with Ray and still hope to land Allen in the draft.

I get why people are upset with the Enuwa deal with injuries and production. That being said who was out there for us to sign to be our number three receiver. When healthy and that is a big if with him he is a productive receiver. We did draft him and he wants to stay a Jet. Its mentioned he is a leader in the locker room. I think we'll look at it in the end and think it was a good resigning. Tell me the last player the Jets resigned that was good and one of our own. Can't think of it. This one has the potential to be good. Comparable would you rather a 30 year old Golden Tate or a 26 year old Quincy Enuwa who wants to be a Jet. I get why people are leary but consider what else is out there. It's a good signing.

Ray, Allen (heh), Jordan Jenkins, Luvu and Copeland not a bad pass rush rotation. Having Luvu and Copeland off the bench would be huge, more different types of packages as well.
