Boy, I have never seen the fan base of a team with a losing record acting more smug than they are today here in Boston. Sheesh.
Derek Jeter SS Curtis Granderson CF Mark Teixeira 1B Alex Rodriguez 3B Robinson Cano 2B Nick Swisher RF Andruw Jones DH Russell Martin C Brett Gardner LF Posada probably wasn't going to be in the lineup anyway against a good lefty.
The last 5 games have been the soppiest pile of pussy I have ever seen. What a fucking disgrace. I can tthink of nayone o nthis team that I dont hate except for Grandy. I would love to see Swisher and Gardner slip in the shower and break their necks
Agreed, this team looks beyond pathetic no life to them. They have till Friday when we face the mets. Someone needs to get hit in the head
^ I'm not. This team, even when playing at it's best, has not shown signs of being a WS caliber team. PS - how awkward was the Sarah Silverman bit on Sat? WTF
I'm along the same lines. I like the pitchers that are actually healthy. I despise all the douchebags who are hurt though, including that assbag Soriano. Rothchild has been great for this staff. The top of the lineup should be Jeter, Granderson, Cano. It's time for Tex to get bumped to 5th. If Posada can't get his shit together in the next few days, the Yankees need to replace him. Gardner and Swisher need to get fixed too. And after a great start by Martin he fell off the planet. This team is entirely too reliant on the long ball. Drive in runs when you have RISP. That's what good teams do. The Yankees don't, so maybe that answers the question. I'm starting to wonder if this is finally the year the Yankees head into late-July as sellers. The only problem is that it looks like the only tradeable guys are their future (Granderson, Cano). Maybe Girardi should stop shuffling the lineup every day and giving everyone rest days every week. Sorry, but it doesn't look like any of them are really taxing themselves much out there.
Gardner's not really a problem, aside from not being able to bunt. (But that's on Girardi for bunting him in stupid situations.) Since the end of April, Gardner is one of the few players on the team consistently hitting. .380/.492/.500/.992 over that period. Jeter needs to bat at the bottom of the order vs. righties. You have a guy who's been getting on base half the time seeing fewer ABs than a guy who's been getting on base only a quarter of the time. That said, it's May, and the Yanks have been shitty for the past twelve games. Fortunately, the Rays and Sox were shitty for the previous dozen or so games... it's a long season. I don't expect them to continue to play this poorly, but it sure is frustrating to watch them play piss-poor defense.
As a person who only sits in Section 203 when I go to games(which is a fair amount too) calling for Swisher to be benched is tough, but its gotta happen, the guy just isn't producing. I don't know what is wrong with these guys but they look like pure horse-shit, and for once out pitching is NOT the issue.
 Sterling just announced a home run by Granderson, and was about to start yelling about the Grandyman, when he changed his mind and said it was caught. Then he said he was confused because Upton turned around. Instant comedy.
