I definitely did. It was strange for sure.

Maybe he was on the phone with Boras about Holliday?

Was anyone watching SportsCenter? Berman, Singleton, Gammons, and Winfield were on the field and Mariano just dropped by. He gave a great, humble interview, but at the end, he admitted that he was badly injured and that his ribs were killing him. He even said "Thank God we won tonight, because I don't know if I could have gone out again tomorrow". YIKES.

Remember in Game 5 when they showed Mo in the dugout with the heat pad on his ribs, and after the game, he said he was "just cold"? Apparently that wasn't the case. I'm so elated that we won today; this just gives me another reason to be grateful for the win... Mariano would never, ever tell Girardi that he can't pitch in the World Series, but he clearly needs rest after his incredible season this year, especially after working two innings seemingly every game in the postseason.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Mariano for another incredible postseason. Here's hoping you take all the time you need to rest and get back to 100%. If anyone deserves a few months off to get healthy, it's you.

Since 1996 Mariano has been the Yankees' MVP. Dude is irreplaceable.
Thank goodness he is a robot from the future, and he will be around forever.

Just curious, (I don't watch baseball at all) how does being a Jets fan and a yankees fan make any sense? Shouldn't you either be a jets and mets fan or a giants and yankees fan?

On that note, congrats to all you yanks fans, atleast you will see one championship in the next few years haha.

Damn. Remember when I pointed that out that night? Ugh, that's a scary thought. Makes the "I was thinking of retiring" comment less cryptic now though.

    Best stat ever.

    Complete myth.

    Yankees and Jets for life.

 I mean...I like the Jets for being the underdog nobody ever expects will do anything...ever...so to like the Mets as well would make sense... get what I'm saying?

That being said, now that I'm older and much smarter I would probably root for the Yankees too :wink:

I've always rooted for the Yanks, they're my first love always.

They're like the hot girl you met at the club and fucked in the back of your car. The Jets are the herpes scabs you have because you refused to listen in health class.

I don't like that the Jets are underdogs. I wish they were dominant and always favorited to win, but they just are never good enough.
