    It addresses a need (3B) and will piss of Red Sox fans at the same time so I'm okay with it. $12m is a little high but market is slim.

    I couldnt stand looking ahim when he was with boston,his face and attitude pissed me off. but i like the signing(not the money thoough)

    $12 million may be a bit much, but there are no truely bad 1-year deals.

    I don't care if he's the league mvp next year. I will never root for that guy. I don't know if I'm going to physically be able to withstand seeing his queer ass batting stance in pinstripes. Every time he stepped into the box against the yankees I would hope for a fast ball right to the face, no matter what the score.

    As a Red Sox fan I now hate the Yankees even more and Youk lost all my respect
    I bet the Yooooooooouks start sounding like boooooooos

    would pay to see a Joba Youk fight tho

    I always hated him with all my heart, now it's just extreme dislike. I'll be rooting for him now. Just at the end of the season, I hope Joba cheap shot him lol.:lol:

    Youk's one of the nicest guys in baseball, it was very hard to hate him (as a person) while he was on the Sox. Glad to see him in NY.
