I read through it earlier. He made a bet with Jco about Fitz not making it through the year and the team being above 8-8 apparently. Didn't think they'd actually ban him.
Mods and Petro, please put an end to this nonsense and do not enforce a bet that leads to a ban. That is ridiculous and only hurts the site. Byz is an institution. Reinstate him. Free Byz!!!!!!!!
For sure--how can that kind of bet really be enforceable? It reminds me of the story of a warrior who made a deal with G-d that if he won the battle, he would sacrifice as an offering the first animal he sees when he gets home. As it turns out, his daughter is the first thing he sees and he thinks he has to sacrifice her although his vow was never enforceable in the first place since only certain animals can be sacrificed as offerings. In other words, you simply can't get banned for a bet because banning is due to inadmissible behavior so the bet is meaningless.
