That's what I'm saying. Bruce Aryans is at the top of the list despite no news or even rumors of of interest from either side? This company is going to drive itself bankrupt. I wish draftkings had those bets. I'd be betting McCarthy big right now.

He's 66 years old and thus too old. On top of that he has some pretty major health issues, I think related to his heart and stress. He is retired. Perhaps most importantly, he is BFFs with Todd Bowles. He's not gonna take the job where his BFF was just fired.

Because if they hired Arians he couldn't bring his buddy Bowles with him to be DC.

Bookies who make people favourite to get some daft clowns to think it is happening and put a few dollars on it, never ever trust a next managers odds list.

Well now we know all the names we can cross off the list of potential Jets coaches.

I saw another odds site (reputable one, Bookmaker) has Lincoln Riley with the highest odds.

If Arians signs with the Bucs, shame on the Jets for not at least trying to get him in here for an interview. He'll have Tampa in the playoffs in short order.

Was reading that he coached up Jameis a few years back, and knows the FO in Tampa...not sure the Jets have a horse in this race if he's going for familiarity

Yeah that combined with the Bowles relationship is tough to overcome. That said if you want the best you do whatever it takes to get them. He's not coming here which sucks.

I disagree. Five years ago or more, I would have been very happy with their hiring Arians. With his being 66 and having some fairly serious health concerns/issues, I want no part of him. I don't want someone who is only going to coach for a few seasons if he's good, or someone who would have to quit or miss half the season if his health issues flared up. Heck, it would be the Jets' luck he'd have us at 12-0, die on the sidelines in the 13th game, and the Jets would lose the rest of their games, including being blown out in their playoff game.

I think most, if not all of us, would sign up for any Head coach who got the Jets to 12-0, alive or posthumously :) All joking aside, the health is a concern I agree and he's not coming here anyway.

Can you really shame them without knowing if they had any contact with his agent?

I really don't know but I sure as hell hope they at least tried. I guess we'll never know.
