Who Would You Have Taken?

    We ended up with Sam Darnold and we could have done a lot worse.

    Had we stayed put we would have picked at # 6, # 37, and # 47 instead of taking Darnold at three.

    Based on how the board fell this is what we gave up if I was making the picks:

    Quenton Nelson OG
    Harold Landry OLB
    Derrius Guice RB
    2019 Round Two pick

    Who would you have taken with our original picks?

    #37 James Daniels C
    #52 Lorenzo Carter OLB (I would have accepted the trade #49 for #52 & #169 just as the colts did)
    #72 Rasheem Green DE

    And in the 4th round I would be targeting DT Tim Settle and Michael Dickson the Punter in the 5th (prob have to trade up for at bottom of 4th)

    I honestly thought that if Rosen and Darnold were there at 3 Jets would have had an opportunity to trade down to about 9 or 10 and still have one of them sitting there. But they didn't - they were probably in shock when Cleveland took Mayfield, to their delight, and had to sit and think for a moment if they were dreaming. No problem with the pick, though.

    Carter at 49 would be a respectable pick without the trade down.

    What’s scary is that we might have taken Allen had the Giants taken Darnold.

    Lets thank the Giants for not experiencing that possible scenario. They were smart in taking the best player in the draft but they may regret the day they gave the Jets the one player that could turn the franchise around. I have to admit that the Giants will be a more interesting team to watch while Darnold is sitting on the bench and learning from Bates.

    Silly thread..time to end the speculation

    Even with the hindsight 20-20 we would have taken Josh Rosen..but Sam has the Leadership imo Hot Tub Boy doesn't

    Nice pick..let's the Giants win now...(if they can lol)

    So if we stayed at 6, does Indy still take Nelson at 3? I then think Darnold would've went to Denver at 5 then.
