This is very hard to answer now, because we have no idea who in the Oline will get cut, after bloody thursday it will be much easier but i will give it a shot anyway.

    With cuts: LT-adrian jones
    LG-gilles or stephen neal
    C-mangold
    RG-brandon moore
    RT-tom ashworth

    With out cuts: LT-adrian jones
    LG-pete kendall
    C-kevin mawae
    RG-brandon moore
    RT-tom ashworth

I am suprised so many of you think Mawae will be back, i have feeling he will be cut, especially with this CBA disaster.

Well my dream draft would be

    #4 Cutler
    #20-#28 Max Jean Gilles
    #36 Nick Mangold

But no matter what if we stay with the 4th pic we need to draft a QB...I do not like Lienart one bit...I would actually prefer to trade down and get some later round and later first round picks...But the way it looks like we will stay and 4 have Cutler fall to us then we can shore up our O-Line with Gilles and Mangold and all of a sudden we have a young rebuilt O-Line that will beplaying together for a few years

    Just my two cents

So who's going to play Tackle for us? Wouldn't you prefer to pick one interior and one exterior offensive lineman instead of two interior linemen?

Mawae and Kendall are going to get cut/traded... so everyone who has Mawae and Kendall and Jones and Moore penciled in as starters, break out your crying towel... they aint gonna be here, and Moore will most likely end up as a back-up if this coaching staff has it's dreathers (that's just my opinion on Moore of coarse)

I agree with MC Heimer with the exception of one offensive linemen I would take DBrick but thats my opinun. I would continue to pick offensively all through the draft and pick up a running back next year. Now this could all change when the JETS deside what they are going to with Chad. I also beleive with the CBA going down the NFL collecting bargaining tiolet that Mawae and Kendall are as good as gone.

  9. If Kendall and Mawae are both gone, and we do end up trading abe for a first rounder...this is my potential OL..

    1st round #1: D'brickashaw Ferguson
    1st round # 2: Marcus McNeill
    2nd round: Davin Joseph

    LT: Ferguson/Cavka/Jones
    LG: Moore/Joseph
    C: Jones/Late round rookie
    RG: Snell/Joseph/Goodwin
    RT: McNeill/Cavka/Joseph

Note: look out for Snell, he's got a ton of upside.

I thought moving Jones 3 times in 2 years would be a bad idea, but you seem to be advocating that.

Is Cavka an option to start? They were high on him before he got injured last year

I doubt the Jets will get a second first rounder. Even if they did, they wouldn't go OL with both picks. I think D. Ferguson in RD 1 and G. Eslinger in round 2 or 3.

    LT - D. Ferguson
LG - P. Kendall (I think he'll survive the cap cuts)
    C - G. Eslinger (replaces Mawae)
    RG - B. Moore
    RT - A. Jones

I could live with that. A lot of youth, but after a year together they could be a solid unit in '07 and beyond.

I've seen a couple people advocating moving Jones to center. Anything to base this on? Not sure he's stout enough at the point of attack to hold up at center, though his athleticism would be nice to have if we lose Mawae.
