Obviously I agree, but that's not what people mean when they say it is not "legal everywhere." In this context people consider alcohol having been legal everywhere since the repeal of Prohibition even though that is not technically true at the county level or lower. I think the objections to marijuana will be at the federal level (as is the case now; so far everyone is just ignoring that every one of those legal dispensaries in Colorado or Nevada violates federal law, but it is far from clear that the current incarnation of the DOJ is going to keep doing that) and at the state level for many states. There was real momentum for a change in federal status through 2016 that would have only increased if Clinton had been elected, but that is all gone now, and even if the Democrats take both the White House and Congress in 2020 I doubt that it's going to come roaring back so quickly.
Change often happens slowly. If more and more states legalize weed, the momentum will be too powerful to stop.
Since the Mets will win the WS this year, that’ll happen first. About Girardi, if the Mets had known he’d be available, I’m sure that the Wilpons would have strongly considered him. Hearing lots of good things about Calloway though. Matz sounds like he’s doing decent, and Syndergaard is pleased.
If the Yankees get any kind of pitching in the next couple of years and avoid any serious injuries to key players, they could win the WS within the next year or two. The Dolans probably will hold onto the Knicks for a while just to torture Knicks fans, but will probably eventually sell the team, or it will be sold when they die. Mankind will eventually land on Mars (if the human race lasts that long), but we're probably talking 20-40 years. Unless some private company does it. The Mets may never win another World Series, Marijuana may never become legal in all 50 states (if the Republicans remain in office), and the Jets probably will never have their own stadium, but each of those things would probably happen before the Jets win another SB. Hell will probably eventually freeze over due to climate change. If Colorado Contrails is right, and NFL games are fixed, and/or if the Johnsons continue to own the team, then the Jets will never win another SB.
With all due respect, Cman, Mets already won the world series. Multiple times, I might have to add. I am pretty sure Lenny Dykstra, Doc Gooden and Strawberry are still alive these days. [Let alone the likes of Tom Seaver] EDIT: If you meant "they win the new one", then I'm going with the Yankees.
The Yankees are definitely going to win a world series in the near future with this strong core that they have built.
I went with Yankees winning a WS because they're always striving for that unlike the Jets. Derek Jeter helped them big time by trading Stanton to them. But then again everything else could happened before the Jets even sniff a SB let alone win one.
Bud has to become legal. It's the only one I have any interest in, unless the Jets new stadium is placed around Exit 18 on the NYS Thruway.
If the pitching is healthy Mets have a great shot this year. It’s the most sensible drink with a backer of emotion.
Weed won't be legalized nationally because then people will be eating hash Brownies and listening to every Grateful Dead Album 24/7..and try to figure out Robert Hunters lyrics as brain exercise Plus , most people will morph into Cheech and Chong..like goal for the week get some Panama Red..maaaan.When the phone rings "DAAAVE is on the phone maaaan" TBH when I was a kid in my 20s pot was a complete DEMOTIVATOR...no studying ..no class ..Top it off with Qualudes ..fall down the stairs ..don't feel a thing ..etc My world is WAY different today ..AHAHAHA
