Who will we be taking in the first round and so on boys? Or will we even have our first rounder? :finssuck:
Jets Offseason The Jets should tag Abe and trade him, a 4th rounder, and a 2007 2nd or 3rd rounder for #9 and 5th rounder. They also should trade their 4th pick to San frans #7 and #38. They get a 4th 5th and 6th comp. picks Cut: Law, Fabini, Kendell, Fiedler, Sowell, Blaylock Restructure:Martin, Pennington, Coles, Robertson or have them take a pay cut Free Agency: Tom Ashworth, Grady Jackson Resign: Chris Baker, Jon Goodwin, Kenyatta Wright Draft: #7: Jay Cutler #9: Deangelo Williams (if available) if not Lendale white #35: Eric Winston #38: Manny Lawson 3rd: Charles Spencer 4th: Ryan Cook 4th: Devin Hester 5th: Jon Orr 6th: Oliver Hoyte 7th: Best available Depth CHart: QB: Pennington competes w/ Cutler for starting job, Bollinger RB: Martin and Williams will share carries, Houston FB: Askew WR: Coles, Mccareins, Cotchery, Jon Orr, Ridgeway TE: BAker, Jolley LT: Eric Winston LG: Goodwin, Spencer C: Mawae, Cook RG: Moore RT: AShworth, Jones (if we move to a 3-4) DE: Ellis NT: Grady Jackson DE: Dwayne Robertson LOLB: Manny Lawson (tweener) MLB: Hobson MLB: Vilma ROLB: Barton CB#1: Barrett, Strait, Darrien Johnson CB#2: Miller, Hester FS: Kerry rhodes SS: Coleman
The Jets trade John Abraham to Dallas for a 2007 2nd round draft pick and a party sized bag of Doritos. 1. Jay Cutler, QB 2. Sinorice Moss, WR 3. Brian Calhoun, RB 4a. Dwayne Slay, S 4b. Darrell Hunter, CB 5. Marcus Vick, QB 6. Jami Hightower, OL 7. Tony Tella, OG Because like pass blocking, a pass rush is for other teams.
I dont like this too much. We have to take O line in early rounds and we dont need another safety but we could use one more corner for depth.
I'm glad we are ignoring those boring O-liners until after we grab the felon back-up QB to keep the NY Post folks entertained.
Holy shit, that is the first mock draft I completly agree with. I was thinking the exact thing. Trade up a couple, then trade Abraham and the picks we just got for the 9th. Then draft Cutler and Williams. Too bad it is unlikely to occur. hmy: I like most of your other offseason stuff, but I don't want to sign Ashworth if we do draft Winston. Jones WILL be the starter at LT next year. And why are people forgetting about Mark Brown. He did a very good job replacing Barton and Hobson over the last two seasons. So either Barton, Hobson, or Brown could move to MLB.
Draft They should trade Abraham to the Lions for their first round pick (#9). #4 Jay Cutler #9 D'Brickashaw Fergerson (if he's stil there, if not Lendale White/DeAngelo Williams)
You like many of the same players as I do, I really want either Winston or Lawson round 2, getting both would be fantastic. I also want Cutler at 4 and Williams at 9 if they get that pick, your draft would be like my dream draft. I don't think we have the money for Jackson, but he'd be a solid pickup if we could only afford one guy. I would be THRILLED if this is how the offseason went. I guess good minds think alike.
