bottom line is brady had his fucking way with us and showed us how inept sanchez really is. Brady made passes and drives that sanchez couldn't make in his wildest fucking dreams. we put the franchise on this talentless douche...i have never been a sanchez fan, probably never will be. He is your typical average quarterback, there is nothing great about him

We had a great defense that got us wins despite our offense. Now, our D is just good and our offense has gotten even worse. This all started in the off season. Beyond the fact that Schotty still has a job, we let Braylon and Cotch go. I wont be a hindsight hero and point out that it was a step back, but even then, I didnt think it was an upgrade. Our offense was our biggest weakness last year and it's gotten even worse. Making the playoffs will be nice but I can't see us going far even if we do. It's a scoring league now and we're one of the worst at it. You can't spot teams possessions and points and expect to win.We NEVER come out the gate and put points on the board.

It is a QB driven league and we don't have a NFL QB.

Sanchez has so many problems it is just silly. He plays in the most QB friendly offense in the league. Unlike most QBs he rarely plays from behind, is not expected to carry the team, and on a team that runs the ball more than any team.

Sanchez only looks at 1/3 of the field, cannot read defenses (unless its a simplified vanilla 2 minute drill), telegraphs his throws and when he is rushed he panics and freezes. Consequently he leads the league in fumbles lost.

He can only throw 2 passes with any accuracy a slant and the fade in the endzone. He cannot change up speeds of his passes. Which is why we see a high 4 yard laser launched at Greene become a turnover.

Do you ever see Sanchez move his head and look around the field? No he keeps it one spot and that is a very small portion of the field. If you give him all day and don't put a defender within 5 yards of a receiver like the Bills did he can play but then so could your mother. But if you flood the middle and take away Sanchez's slant route and Keller over the middle the play may as well be over. Just a little pressure on Sanchez and all we can hope is its not a turnover.

In the pocket he is extremely awkward. He usually looks like he needs to find a restroom while he is bouncing on both feet. One can just feel the nervous sweat pouring down his face when he bounces in the pocket. But notice the occasional times he escapes the pocket he plays much better and more instinctively. I am not a Mangini fan but he was right when he said the key to defending Sanchez is to keep him in the pocket and force him to make plays from the pocket.

Sanchez is simply a very bad QB. He can only play well on play action or when not rushed. Terrel Suggs is right he is soft. Under pressure he folds up. But for 3 years now the Jets gameplan has been to protect and limit his exposure in passing situations. Essentially protecting the team from him. But Sanchez keeps proving that he is capable of turning a win into a loss no matter how well the rest of the team plays.

    This ^

Whenever you are cirtical of sanchez around here people get all defensive. What do we owe him? He is making 15 mil this year to do what? Did Pennington command the same loyalty people seem to have for Sanchez? I don't think so; when pennington got booted, it was a favre parade in Jetville. So what makes sanchez any different? If it was any other position we would be universally calling for a replacement, just like we are for inpet players like eric smith and mulligan. We had a real chance to win this game if we had a quarterback that could take control of the game. The patriots had only 6 points on the board for 29 minutes of the firsthalf, and we managed only 7 offensive points against their defense.

The sad truth is, there is going to come a time where there will be two inescapable options. Either we stick with Sanchez and cost Rex his job (because we will never get over the hump with Sanchez) or open a QB competition and let the best one player and save Rex from the long list of rolling heads of head coaches who lost their jobs because of how bad their QBs were.

14 points against the league's worst defense is not fine. throwing pick sixes to no name linebackers on the league's worst defense is not fine, with the weapons this offense has we should have rung 30 on them easily if we had a good qb, but sanchez isn't even good, he is propped up by everyone else around him, plax, tone, the defense, the o line, lt as a check down, imagine if LT wasn't their to check down to that'll cause nightmares.

This team will make the playoffs, but don't expect this team to be hoisting any trophy while Sanchez is under center.

we're not overrated. this is a stupid reactionary thread.

we just played like complete dogshit.

all the momentum and improvement we've had, we completely pissed away.

i don't know why this team ALWAYS does this. whenever we're on the rise, we find a way to slip up and not sustain it. we'll get back up, we'll win a string of games...but we'll still be playing playoff games on the road

For once there is someone who shares my thoughts. Sanchez is overrated as a QB and Schotty is sabotaging this team. The Jets should have let him walk years ago.

The defense came out playing well in the 2nd half, they forced a 3 and out and gave the offense the ball at midfield which they squandered. They stopped the Pats cold the next time out too and the Jets decided to not recover a fumble. The defense stands tall again and holds the Pats to a FG. Then the offense turns the ball over and the wheels fell completely off.

It is true - the high's and low's in reactions after a win/loss are so vastly different it's absurd. One week the Jets are the team to beat and the next they are the laughing stock of the league.

I'm glad we were overrated. So what does that make us now?
