i figured this would be posted here? Any of you guys do an elimination challenges? I'm in one for some serious coin so was curious who you guys like for week 2? I'm looking @ : Baltimore @ Oakland .. Baltimore has decided to stay out on the west coast instead of coming back here to east coast and Oakland looks like they'll be starting their backup. I'm just scared since Baltimore lost Suggs for the year Miami @ Jacksonville. Miami is interesting but got completely out played last week at Washington. They should have lost. San Fran @ Pitt -- I think San Fran is atrocious this year (curious to see how they play tonight but they lost so many players). Steelers are also coming off a long break and are at home this week. Anyone else have any opinions
I don't really do mine for money but I'm probably going with the Steelers next week too, ironically after going against them Week 1 with the Pats.
I'm an idiot. I opened one up in the NFL Forum. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/survivor-pools.84931/ D'oh! _
Those are literally 3 of the possible scenarios I'm looking at, lol. The obvious one will be Bucs vs Saints. I think you gotta take the Saints at home against the Bucs with a rookie QB.
That Saints Defense is so freaking bad though man. They are without their starting CB and who knows if Byrd is going to play.
I tend to lean heavily towards Home teams, which would point to the Saints. San Francisco surprised last night, and Pitt is still missing 3 key offensive starters. The best road bet would probably be Miami, since it's a relatively short trip against a garbage, non-division team. Oakland is bad, but I'm typically not a fan of cross-country road teams.
Yeah I pretty much will only pick home teams. Even really crappy teams can sometimes pull out a win at home. _
For the same reason you mentioned, I went with Miami this week. I had Chargers last week. I am saving big favorite teams for later weeks but this might backfire if one of the middle pack teams don't win the week I pick them.
New Orleans and Baltimore for me. I don't see the Ravens falling 0-2 and especially losing to the raiders
I'm debating whether to take NO to win and SF to lose or whether to go the opposite and pick Pitt to win and TB to lose. The bigger payoff is on the winning survivor pool, so that should be the surer pick. _
That's who I took. In my elimination pool, I paid for two entries so I have two picks. I went with Baltimore on one and NO on the other.
lol there was NO way I was touching the Saints in Week 2, even against a bad Tampa team that looked like it belonged in the FCS in Week 1. The Saints' D is just too unreliable.
