Giants certainly haven't bought into the tank - they're playing well again against a decent team, up 7-0 over Seattle.
Simultaneous possession in the end zone. Collins comes away from the scrum with the ball. I wonder what this call is going to be. Ruled a touchdown on the field. Even though Collins got up with the ball..
Wow call stands. That looks like an incomplete pass. Richardson is out of bounds when they ruled he had possession it looked like. I don't get this league sometimes.
That play was called correctly, unlike the ASJ one - it was called a TD on the field, and there's no way there's evidence to overturn it, so it stands.
It didn't really look like simultaneous possession though. Richardson never really had the ball. He was trying to wrestle it away from Collins. Not to mention Richardson got up without the ball. I get that they shouldn't overturn it since it was a touchdown on the field. But I'm not sure how they made that determination that it was a touchdown in the first place.
The offensive suckitude of the Giants eventually and inevitably wears down the defense, and Seattle adds on another TD. The Giants' win over the Broncos last week also looks a lot less impressive after considering how the Chargers have dominated the Broncos today.
They are most definitely not tanking, and the defense played very well for as long as they could before they wore down. If they keep playing like this they could win another 3 or 4 games.
Instead of a halftime show about football, we get Tirico talking to Justin Timberlake. Leave the interviews to MTV.
Falcons down three scores, you'd figure there would be a sense of urgency nope previous play ended with 26 seconds left in the quarter they stand around and snap it too late, quarter ends without a play
They never intended on running a play. Just tried to draw the Pats offsides and no one falls for that crap these days.
now Atlanta wastes a timeout all this because they can't get a play off in 25 seconds now Atlanta wastes a timeout all this because they can't get a play off in 25 seconds
Especially when there was an incredibly eventful day of football! What kind of stupid playcall is that on fourth & goal? A jet friggain sweep? You know Belichick had the fog brought in specifically to mess with the Falcons in tonight's game. And they practiced in it all week. Schmucks.
Big Penn State-Ohio State game this Saturday to see if the Buckeyes are the best team in Ohio. There were about 25,000 people at the game in Cleveland, and Hue Jackson is now 1-22 as Browns coach. Bengals collapse in the second half against Steelers and continue to have players acting unprofessionally both on and off the field. There will be some coaching vacancies in Ohio next season.
