I don't think Stewart and Hansen are NFL quality. Another couple of bust for Macc. Hope Leggett comes back and can contribute.

Eh I think they could be. It's a bit early to cast judgement on either of them. If they suck it helps my case on Maccagnan getting fired, but I don't want to see that happen.

Their draft scouting reports are encouraging.

At the very least they appear to be very competitive guys.

    Chad Hansen per NFL.com

    Ardarius Stewart per NFL.com

Stud play from Sunday. In the game thread I vented a little with all the defensive picks recently but this play was definitely some humble pie for myself. Hoping to share something positive on our Jets. and perhaps our team's future is indeed going up.

You don't know that they'd go down if he played. His blitz recognition and blocking might be just fine. We all know that Bowles has a predilection for veterans. McGuire probably isn't being given an opportunity to play with the ones because the Jets have Forté and Powell. On another team, he might be starting.

In addition, just because he isn't playing much now doesn't mean that he will last longer. Everyone's body ages and starts declining at different rates. He could also suffer a career-ending injury while working out or on one of the few plays in which he does see the field. He needs to be playing and developing. There's no reason to play Forté aside from what he's being paid. Powell is better and Powell is just as good a blocker as Forté.
