I think the Jets come out firing on all cylinders again. The game that truly worries me as a letdown game is the following week at Browns on TNF.

Get after Tannehill early and often...do not let him have time to make the easy throws. I think we have a better coaching staff than them by far.

One big advantage is having Dennison on our staff....he prepped for them twice last year being on the Bills. That means we have a lot of insight into this teams strategy (coaches have sen them four times).....hopefully that reflects on the field and we can be prepared to play them the right way,

This game and next Thursday against the Browns will be good indicators of how well the coaching staff can get these guys fired up and prepared to play. A big win on opening day, followed by two games in a short time span will be a test.

Frank Gore needs 15 yds vs. Jets on Sunday to surpass Curtis Martin (14,101) for fourth place on NFL's list.

Jets better not let this happen :mad::mad: ... if so FIRE BOWLES

Just bought tickets. I cant remember the last time I've been so excited to go to a game. I'm going to tail gate my ass off and hopefully the stadium is rocking, I know I wont have a voice on Monday.

    Cautiously excited about this game.

They look like the better team, but this would be a classic Jets letdown.

Hopefully that trend gets bucked with an actual franchise QB. Jets will certainly have home field advantage this week.

I'll be in the building too. A buddy of mine snagged tix last minute so we'll have a decent tailgate going.

Ah, Sunday mornings at MetLife are back :D .

Both teams won their week 1 game against Belicheat disciples, so both wins are meaningless until we see each team win a game against an actual NFL coach.

I think the Jets get it done this week at home with some good D, strong run game and timely passes from Darnold. I say Jets 27 - 17.

I'm hoping Darnold's pitch count is under 25. That says we won the TOP game within the game. It will also cut down on turnovers and establish our running game even further. Hopefully we won't see any 3rd and 2 end arounds again ever... :)

It is a let down game and the Cleveland game is a trap game with I think Jax the following week. I'd like to think Bowles will get this team ready to play. Too many times we've seen this team look like the Lions did on MNF. The CS needs to reel this team in, get them to forget the headlines and treat Sunday as the first game of the year since it is the first divisional game.

I think people are underestimating the Home opener effect.

The team will be amped up and ready to play.

They might not win, but it won’t be because of a lack of focus or emotions.

I would also like to see the Left side of our OLine step up on Sunday too. Looks like the right side seems to have gotten their shit together so far in the new system. Pretty soon D's will stack the right side and dare Sam to go left. What they may not realize is Sam is lethal going left too.

I believe the latest weather forecast I get says high of 80 with 73% humidity which is a bit warm, but nothing like Miami with a high of 90 with 73% humidity for Sunday.

But you can't always trust the forecast.

We have, however, I'm not sure its been such a problem recently. How many times did the team come out flat last season? I'm not saying they didn't lose, or that they were any good, just that they didnt come out flat much. Rex's teams did it all the time, even when they were good and there was a holdover in Bowles' first two years, but even then I don't think it was as bad as it had been. They've got to prove it for sure, and there will be good and bad games in there for sure - all teams have them, but I just don't feel that this team will come out flat or give up when they are behind like the Lions did.
