No, not for the Jets or their players! For the FANS. We need a break. Today was brutal. Luckily there are only 6 games left until the 2018 Off-Season. Hopefully the Jets can make some moves to improve the franchise during that time. I don't think they are as far off as people think. As for now: just sit back and watch the ever annoying Todd Bowles and Josh McCown waste our time. I love this team and always will, but a week or two off is nice.
If they were going to one of the young QB's, I'd agree. Bowles would rather lose a limb than do that, so we have two weeks of bad game planning and more time with a 38 year old lousy QB playing with no hope of the playoffs to look forward to. Basically, same old Jets.
In the old days coaches would get fired at times starting the bye-week..too bad we know better when it comes to this mess and besides the GM has to go first anyway.
Get ready....Case Keenum will be the Jets starting quarterback next season with some 3rd or 4th round quarterback battling Hackenberg for the right to be the backup. Macagnan will draft a cornerback in the first round and the second round in the next draft.
Only if they can Bowles and name an interim coach who starts playing Petty and/or Hackenberg at quarterback.
It's also the perfect time to fire Bowles. Name Karl Dorrell the interim head coach, and Kevin Greene the DC. Allow Morton to focus on the offense.
Hate to break it to ya but Bowles will be back for his 4th season in 2018. And Morton's offense didn't look so sharp yesterday
I know. That would have made the final 6 games exciting at least. The 6th seed is weak in the AFC so the Jets probably won't be officially eliminated until Week 14 or 15. So, at best, Bowles will give Petty/Hack 2 games to play.
Goodie! Brian Hoyer at QB via free agency & back to back corners early in the draft! Sprinkle in some of that seamless clock management & look out AFC!
