I know it doesn't matter now (should've thought about it in the nominations thread) but let's give Magilla Guerilla some credit too

I'm beginning to think that Mr Electric is getting most of his votes based on his rep. Hurricane and WW85 have been much more active this season in the draft forum.

You know, the simple fact that I never saw my comment backfiring scares me the most.

Question: if it's a disservice to WW not winning this award, why have the voting? What if it were 'The WW85 Draft Guru' award?

Edit: asking this honestly and not as an insult or knock at the award

Personally, he did the most for the draft forum this year and those who have been paying attention this is a no brainer.

The voting needs to happen, but I don't think most people are looking at who's done more this year and their just voting for E blindly.

But the voting still needs to happen to honor those who contribute the most to the forum. But for 2010, its WW's year. Everything was outstanding.

Next year, it could be E's again, or GH, or maybe someone else emerges and gets nominated along with them like Code Green did this year. Right now we have 3 elite guru's and a handful of guys who contribute regularly.

If I did year round scouting, maybe I'd get nominated. But I start right after Jets season is over and only focus on prospects who I think are good for the Jets. I don't scout the entire draft class. I focus on about 40 guys who I think are right for our franchise. I'm lazy.

It's everyone's right to pick who they want, but it's equally our right to sway votes in a certain direction. I certainly wouldn't campaign for myself, nor would Mr. E, but I see no reason not to fully support another deserving member. If that support comes in the way of attacking others for not voting that way, it's simply because we're jerks.
