Shlubs that hang out at airports are the worst. Sam probably wanted to go back to Cali immediately.

If there were ever a set of eyes politely saying "fuck off"......

I agree! But this is a GREAT example of why he is made for NY. Kid is just so calm and collected. No drama.... I love it!

We should have sent a private plane to pick him up, isn't that what teams usually do?

Looks like the Jets are putting him up at the airport Courtyard. Smart, free shuttle bus from the airport.

I live a block away from Atlantic Health. I’ll drive by later and see if ppl are camping at the entrance.

Also, you can meet players out in Morristown all the time. I’ve frequently seen them at The Office.

I thought the same thing. Woody was too cheap to fly him into Teterboro on a privately Jet?

Such a Mets/Wilpons thing to do. I believe when they called up Syndegaard they had a car service drive him 4 hours from Binghamton.

Should have sent Robby Anderson to pick him up.

Well, at least we know he'd get to his hotel super fast the way he drives.

Nah bro. Morristown private airport (we see Trump’s AF1 all the time) is walking distance from Atlantic Health.

They must have wanted him to make entrance that way.

Edit: Matter of fact the Jets petitioned Florham Park to get a helipad installed at Atlantic Health so they can fly in and out of NYC easily.

That’s true. I was thinking close to the stadium.

This kid is going to be great in New York. Great mindset and seems like his family loves New York.

You kidding me; LAX has the most "shlubs" of all the airports.

Not for nothin', but 'Newark' and 'entertaining', it just doesn't add up.

That being said, it was a terrible day at the airport.

Darnold didn't look happy, but he handled it well. He has the right personality to succeed in NY.

I travel a lot for work and also work with a lot of famous athletes/entertainers, nothing gets me more irrationally upset than a bunch of losers camping out at the airport at 6 am just to get shit signed “for their kid” which just ends up on eBay that afternoon. New York is always the worst. Newark is always a nice sneaky option for flights since not many people go there. And mostly because it’s a piece of shit place.

It must really suck balls to be a celebrity. I'd want to tell every one of these stalkers to fuck off.
