If there was any doubt before, this means Buffalo will be serious about trading up for their next QB. Act accordingly, Mac.
Lol it was hilarious watching him report it live on SportsCenter. He tweeted about it while being filmed live on tv. That being said, the Browns are still probably going QB at 1 or 4, right? Maybe Darnold to learn for a couple years as Taylor keeps them afloat.
Wow big moves for Cleveland. If the rumors about Josh Allen and the Browns being a match are true, this would put him in a better spot to sit and develop
Not a bad move as long as it's followed up by drafting a QB with one of their 1st rounders.Taylor clearly isn't anyone's answer long term.
Good news for the pro-Cousins crowd, since it makes it less likely the Jets will have the QB they want sitting at #6.
I hope this doesn't mean the Browns traded their #4 for him or some nonsense like that. EDIT: Looks like they traded a 3rd rounder. At this rate the Browns won't have any picks left come draft day!
What does this mean for Cleveland's plan at QB? I think it said they are not planning on drafting a guy who will play right away. That probably rules out Rosen and Mayfield. Maybe even Darnold. That might be interested in Lamar Jackson in round 2 or trading back into the middle of round one for Allen. I think this is good news for the Jets. What does it mean for the Bills? Are they planning on Keenum, Bradford or McCarron or maybe Jackson or Allen at 21 or using all these picks to move up for one of the big 3.
and Fellas do us a favor....post facts and info with the post or don't post at all until you have details. Thank You.
Per ESPN The Cleveland Browns found their young veteran quarterback Friday when they agreed to a trade with the Buffalo Bills for Tyrod Taylor, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Browns will give up a third-round pick for Taylor, No. 65 overall, according to the source. The trade for Taylor comes on the same day Cleveland agreed to acquire wide receiver Jarvis Landry from Miami and cornerback Damarious Randall from Green Bay, a source told Schefter. Taylor will join a quarterback group that includes DeShone Kizer coming off his rookie season and a draft choice who will probably be taken first overall. The Browns seem focused on USC's Sam Darnold or Wyoming's Josh Allen in the draft.
If I'm the Browns after making these trades, I'm targeting Barkley at 1, Nelson or Chubb at 4, and then Jackson with the first pick of the second round.
LOL Cleveland got fleeced. Taylor is garbage and they gave up a 3rd rounder. Surprise surprise, bad franchise continues to make mad decisions.
I am with you. If we got Cousins then let’s hope Barkley ends up with Jets. In case we miss out on Cousins then we have to get a QB and Browns going Barkley with the top pick helps us.
Hopefully this helps to influence the dream scenario: 1. Allen 2. Barkley 3. Chubb 4. Trade down and Darnold gets drafted by somebody 5. Rosen 6. Mayfield
