i listened as i'm interested in what Bowles has to say.........but was difficult to tolerate Francessa rushing everything and talking over him. it's almost unbearable to listen to his interviews.

RE: Pass rush If D-Line gets to the QB he will back off with blitzing. Blitzed a lot last year because of lack of pass rush from D-Line. RE: Comparison NYJ vs ARI defense This defense as good as ARI defense 2 years ago with everybody healthy. RE: Offense, keys to victory Big receivers, tough RBs, tough O-Line. QB can't turn the ball over. RE: What is he looking for on defense Wants defense to have a personality and build the chemistry he had in ARI, everybody has to be on the same page. RE: Coaching staff Extremely happy with coaching staff, got everybody he was targeting. RE: Can defense be the best in the league? Defense a work in progress, have to play as a team and find out what player belongs where, stuff we'll find out in the next weeks. RE: HC job Never thought about becoming a HC. Wanted to be the best DB coach he could be, then realized he might be up for the task of handling the defense as well, was eyeing DC job then. RE: Jets history Tough team, great history. Big fan of Freeman McNeil. Knew talent was here, knew toughness is here. Media and city was more of a challenge. RE: What he'll be like on the sideline Will be calm on the sideline, but there'll probably a few times where he's gonna go nuts as well. You're a better man than me, I can't stand that blow hard. I haven't listened Fatcessa on the FAN since ESPN NY went on the air and generally don't listen to others on there either with the exception being Steve Somers for a few minutes after Mets games when they were still on the FAN.
I like Bowles comment regarding the use or lack of use of blitzing, if the jets front 4 can get to the QB, he will not blitz as much as he did in Arizona. If this jets defense becomes a 4-3 by default, the opposing QB's are going to be in some serious trouble this year.
Patriots just gave up a Guard and traded for a TE. Should have pulled the trigger there. Winters can't be much worse than this Davey guy.
