I was hoping one of you industrious posters would add it.. So many have been on TV that I figured everyone had seen it already. Besides... sequels too often don't measure up to the originals..I'm hoping GOTG breaks that trend. John Wick certainly didn't.
I'm not sure why Marvel is having so much trouble with these two franchises. You'd think Spiderman and the Fantastic Four wouldn't be so hard with such a huge body of work to choose from.
They showed TOO much in that trailer ... Thor 3 trailer should be out very soon as well. That might be the best Marvel movie yet.
I like the new Spider-Man. Cool kid. Agreed, the Andrew Garfield movies were terrible. In retrospect though, they are much worse than when I originally saw them and thought they were bad. Pointless and worthless are not a good combination.
Easily will be the best Thor movie out of the 3 so far, and it's got potential to be one of the best comic book movies out there. A lot of notable awesome comic book characters in this one. Hela, Goddess of Death for example, she is so bad-ass
I have been worried how this will turn out, but that trailer at least gives it some potential. Looks like it is going to not take itself too seriously too.
Okay I have seen 3 movies in the last couple weeks. All Great and all different. Baby Driver, Spider-Man: Homecoming and WAR for the Planet of the Apes. Go see them!
Watched a 15 minute short on the making of War for Planet of the Apes which actually might make me actually go see a movie in a theater for the 1st time in a long time. Besides that I usually check these threads out about 6 months after the movie comes out so I know what to get on Redbox.
Still gotta see Spiderman. Stuck waiting until the wife gets home from her vacation. I plan on seeing Dunkirk. Wife refuses to see historical war movies for some reason. Gotta figure that out because she loves action movies. She wants to see Despicable Me 3 but I'm not interested. Not sure if there's anything else coming out this summer that I'm interested in.
Intended on seeing Spider-Man but my son wasn't interested so I'll wait for DVD. My wife wants to go to the movies so Baby Driver will probably be the choice, but I do want to see War of the Planet of the Apes. Rise was terrible but Dawn was fantastic.
^I liked 'Baby Driver' a lot. A little video game-ish, but with film noir thrown in (which I adore), definitely a fun watch. I was, hey, when is Simon & Garfunkel gonna show up? You don't hear the song until the end of the flick .'Diva' was definitely an influence. No way that it's not. Run, Baby, Run! a/k/a . . . but I enjoyed it bunches. It's gonna become a cult classic. Golden Earring, lol. There are no zombies in this movie. Just forewarning you.
I have an APE question,,,anyone see War for yet ? We saw the first one but did not see the second one, will the kids need to see the second one to follow this one ? Its getting great reviews but not sure if it will be hard to follow,,let me know. ps I loved the originals
There is a brief recap of RISE and DAWN at the beginning of WAR. They could keep up. However, it would definitely be better to watch Dawn first.
