I actually think we should take Saquon Barkely for 1st round swap with the Giants guys. Either that or first round swap with Cardinals for David Johnson. /s

I'd take Fournette. A change of scenery would be good for him.

It will he interesting to see what they do with him. I'd trade the saints 3rd rounder for him in a second.

Yeah, lets trade assets for Fournette when we can throw nothing but money at LeVeon Bell. Some people man....

Fournette would be cheaper / younger ... would you trade a 3rd rounder for Fournette? We have 2 of them? Him and McGuire would be a good backfield. Fournette has durability concerns however.

Absolutely not. I won't trade any assets for players. Sign Bell with just money.

I compare this to the Mets fans who wanted to trade for Realmuto. Trade assets for Realmuto when they could have just signed Ramos. (Which they did)

The same reasons why I thought the JAGS over drafted him still stand..... injuries in college have carried over to injuries in the pros, and apparently he's a dickhead. If he falls in the JETS laps, that's great, but I wouldn't be making big trade moves for him at all.

I did not have those concerns when he was in the draft, but have since come to see they were valid. I agree with the rest of your post though. If they can get him relatively cheap, sure, but I wouldn't gamble a lot on a guy with questionable health and thinking.

Nice thought but I vote no. I hope the jets sign B
Pass on Fournette because he would require something BACK in a trade. The jets need to keep all their picks and maybe acquire more. Sign Bell, build your OL, get a stud WR, and quit wasting all your high picks on DBs (Millner, Kyle Wilson, Pryor, Moye, McDougle, etc.).

Why would we trade for Fournette, an oft-injured RB who has attitude issues, instead of signing LeVeon Bell? Bell requires no other investment besides money.

No thanks. In my opinion there are three things the Jets need to avoid to be successful in the upcoming year and beyond:

    1. No cancer in the clubhouse (Fournette, Bell, et all).
    2. No injury prone players.
    3. No first time head coach (especially one that was a defensive coordinator).

I'm all for finding a stud running back in the draft. One who doesn't have a history of being injured or another team desperate to unload them.

Fornette is a old school one dimensional back...unless we are playing ground and pound run the ball 40 times and play defense I'll pass.

HELL NO. Why would we even kick the tires on trading for an injury prone, lockerroom cancer who hasn't really done anything?

    No thank you.

I don't want bad guys on my team. Jets need high character, high motor guys, guys who don't quit.

When the going gets tough that's when you find out about players.

Apparently the Jaguars didn't like what they found out about him as their season went down the tubes.

Yeah...I agree. I also think Laveon Bell does not fit the description above. The guy is all about the money. He is a total diva and I'm kinda worried about him if we give him a massive contract. How many times have we seen it. Guys get their guaranteed money then act like total jackasses and get in trouble. My point is that Bell is not a team player, but he is a star talent. I'm not so sure we have the luxury to find someone that meets your description.

RBs are a dime a dozen in this league. Yeah, I know that guys like Bell, Gurley, Barkley, etc. are elite talents, but you can easily find a RB who can respectfully carry the ground game and catch passes out if the backfield with mid round picks. Some even blow up into those elite players. A good OL can turn guys like Shonn Greene and make them, at least temporarily, look like franchise RBs.

  19. Hey ill take Bell AND fournette in a trade down scenario!

    Bell/Fournette/Mcguire or cannon
    Anderson/Enunwa/Herndon

Its a start before even looking at WR options as well as OL

In all seriousness I would avoid spending picks for Fournette. He's gonna wanna get paid soon, he has already had enough issues to give the Jags a headache, and RB is one of the easiest positions to find. With options like Laveon available for no draft picks, why even entertain this?
