We fill a big need acquire a #1 reciever and improve our offense mainly what all of you are looking to do.
HA! because ME-O fits the bill of a high character, smart football player. TO is the last player Mangini wants playing for him. Not only is he low character and dumb as a stick, he's a locker room cancer.
dont be sure T.O is a gamer and maybe the changeof scenery will do him good.what more can you ask for if you start a wayward qb a good reciever to make him look good T.0 is the answer. ricky ray to t.o touchdown his 5th of the game
There are so many things wrong with this that I will save the other members their energy by responding to this. 1. We could get T.O. if we really wanted him for a 4th round pick 2. We already have a #1 receiver in Coles 3. T.O. would destroy our locker room 4. We would have to give T.O. a huge contract for him to maybe be happy 5. We are in cap hell 6. Abe is worth a low 1st round pick I am sure I can think of more, but I will settle by saying think before you make a thread and you will look A LOT smarter that way
That T.O. is a "gamer" is the biggest myth going. An arbitrator ruled that he quit on his team and was purposeuly undermining he stability of the organization. Beyond that, I haven't seen a single T.O. thread yet on this board address the fact that Owens STILL wants to negotiate a new contract. So, you trade for him, and then what? Hold him to his current contract and inherit the same problem Philly had? Or, maybe you'd negotiate a new contract with him and give him money that we don't now have?
you do also realize that everyother nfl team in the league adheres to the same salary cap we do.noone is going to give Abe a longterm deal for mega-millions. I WANT THE JETS TO KEEP ABE.
You do realize that TO has been and always will be a cancer to any organization he's ever been a part of????
and your point? whats here to ruin i dont see the lombardi trophy hanging around here.enough of the soft shoe approach this team needs character and swagger and needs to grow some balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes...especially since they are desperate to rid themselves of Owens. Personally I wouldn't want us to trade for him for a jelly donut and a sugar packet...but that's just my opinion
