I don't see the Jets getting more than 1 1st rd draft pick this year, no matter what moves they make.

I think the Jets might bite if the texans also inlcude their third round pick.

Texan's get Bush. Done deal. We make out far better if we put together a different deal for Abe.

Bush is definitely a sexy pick, but if we really want another running back White or Williams would do just fine.

I don't see RB being as big a need as QB and Oline at this point. The only way I would make this trade was if the Jets resign Penny and are pretty damn sure that hes healthy.

Can't see trading JV. I think he'll just be hitting his prime when we're ready to contend again.

H'mm right now the more important thing to do is get in as many young bodies that can produce ASAP. My opinion & yours of JV seem to be on very different tracks so it best just to each have there own opinion as I think JV will never become a legend of leave his mark in the NFL

i think that the jets have to do this. Pennington is clearly not the qb and i'm not sold on cutler. Abe wants out and the jets can move up and get young an impact player that can be a franchise qb.Reggie Bush is not worth it at this point because 1) RB is not our biggest worry and 2) he only got about 15 carries a game at USC- yes he is an impact player- but the question is how durable can he be in the pros?
so i think the jets have to do this trade and the texans will accept because they can get the pick that makes the most sense..D'Brickishaw

No way dude. The Jets need a leader and only someone with the amount of hype Reggie Bush does will do.

thats EXACTLY what i was saying a day or two ago in "the Cutler Era Upon Us" tread.

I tihnk the texans are dumb if they didnt, even though theres a huge chance they wont.

Jets Get: Reggie Bush or Matt Lienart
.............get rid of their defensive cap headache
.............squash their QB or RB problem
    .............a 2nd round lineman
.............a successor to Curtis (if bush taken)

Texans get: a dominant DE who can take on any OL
.................DBrickishaw Furgeson with the 4th overall
.................keep David Carr whos blindside is now coevered^^^
.................keep Domanick Davis as a featured back with new oline

its a shame blockbuster trades like this never happen because this would benefit both teams greatly

Do you not want to have a game breaker player or 2 on the team to at least make the other side think we have a weapon or two?

The Jets won't make this move, they're trading for Peyton Manning.

Without an Oline Bush isn't going to be able to do much.

I dissagree. Bush has the kind of skills that will produce highlights regardless of the current status of the Jets O-line. The fact that he is a triple threat adds to his usefullness and attraction as a draft pick

Will the highlights produce Ws? Is Bush durable enough to carry an offense?

they should produce td's, which will hopefully lead to w's. Durability is obviously a question mark, but his raw talent is awesome. He's the best player in the draft, and I don't think it's even close

Tell you one thing, if we move up to #1, I'd be taking Bush and not Leinart.

Here's my order of who i want to see drafted at the number 1 spot(if we have it)
    1. Vince Young
    2. Vince Young
    3. Vince Young
he seems like the clear pick because of his incredible size and scrambling ability. Running back is not our concern. What good is reggie bush if we have no passing threat or O-Line. With Youngs scrambling ability he can produce even with our line

I don't think this would ever happen but if it did, a big if but if it did they would move up for Leinart.. I don't think there is any way we are trading up to get Bush which would be a disaster. I could live with it if Mangini & Schott fell in love with Leinart and had to have him. Not likely though, I think they are gonna sit where they are and let Cutler fall into there laps and hopefully trade Abe for another 1st or 2nd..
