While we have a predict the Jets record thread, lets face it, a lot of us will be watching games this year less worried about the outcome and more focused on the play of our new QB1. That said its time to set yourself up for some bragging rights! How is Sams's season going to look: Yards Over/Under 3200 ... thats a 200 YPG average. Its not asking for a ton, but asking him to be a productive starter all year long. TD's 22 ... that is just under 1.5 per Game. While it may seem high for a rookie several have passed that number and Sam has shown serious ability in the red zone. Picks 16 ... 1 per game average. We know rookies are going to throw up a couple bad games, but his preseason looked good with his only pick coming on a 4th down play. Ball security was a major knock coming out of USC Fumbles 6 ... again it was a problem at USC, but he's shown ball security improvement ... still with this Oline ... So lets hear it on your Sam stat line predictions. 3200 - 22 - 16 - 6?
Over 3200 yards Over 22tds Over 16 ints. There’s a 3 int game out there for most rookies Under 6 fumbles. Ball seemed to stay up high with 2 hands on it. I think that’s fixed
3000 - 20 - 15 - 7 or Under, under, under, over. I'd be very happy if he went significantly better than those.
Over 3000 yards Over 25 TDs Over 15 INTs Under 5 fumbles I don't think he'll exceed 3000 yards by much because I think they'll keep it pretty conservative for his first season. But I do think he'll find the end zone despite the conservative G.P.
I'm gonna shock some people (since I wasn't a fan of his pre-draft). Assuming that the OL stays healthy and plays at an acceptable level: 3,500 yards 25 TDs 10 INTs 3 Fumbles
2887 yards, 21 TDs, 15 INTs, 4 fumbles Beats the Packers week 16 to clinch wild card spot Edit: Just to clarify, my numbers above are only for the regular season. The 3 playoff games and the Super Bowl will add a bit more.
WOW. I'm impressed. This is by far the most optimistic NC I know via years of reading your posts. Go get them Tiger. I'm all in.
Under with 21 TDs, Under with 11 Interceptions, Over with 7 fumbles. Under with 2880 yards...….and OVER THE MOON with a nice first play off birth of his young career.
It does, doesn't it? LOL I'm an optimist at heart, and finally have someone I can really be optimistic about on the Jets.
Waterboy and LAJet, love your optimism for the playoffs. However, I don't see them doing that without significantly more yardage and/or TD's than your stats suggest. I say 3200 yards, 24 TD's, 15 Int, 5 Fumbles.
I've consulted the Magic 8-Ball and I see a few sub 200 yd. passing games in our future. Under Over Over Over
