It’s the exact opposite genius. Mayfield is trash

They had hall of fame QBs ahead of them. Not the same. If Darnold beats out McGowen and Bridgewater in camp, then he should start.

True, but there are good reasons to have Darnold sit to start this season. His mechanics need work. His throwing motion could lead to turnovers. He needs to not make it easy for defenders to strip the ball from his hands. I do agree that if he's outplaying McCown and Bridgewater in training camp and preason, he should start week 1. If he's not ready, don't play him. He's not as pro ready as Rosen.

Draft lanky developmental linemen in the next few rounds. Pump them full of hgh. Sign Zach Martin or the guard from the rams in next year's free agency. Build a dominant o-line, and work from there.

Jay, you're a good guy, but there is maybe one football reason you don't like him and it's suspect.

If it makes you feel better, I hate his face too.

BTW, it's always bothered me that Baker's head is so big that he looks like a midget.

looks like we may trade petty which would be great. teams are calling for him. even a 7th rounder is better then nothing. hack's job will depend on teddys health i agree. The jets are concerned for teddys knee and if it doens't hold up he will be released

the phrase "consummate professional" and "easy to work with" are exactly what I m talking about. I prefer "winning resume."

What does one have to do with the other? You do realize football is a team sport right?

stop wasting my time and I will stop wasting yours. I am saying McCown is a loser and I would like an older guy who has done some winning mentoring my Number One draft choice.

He doesn’t mind carrying the ball 10-15 times a game right? That’s what we need... a tough sonofabitch to carry the mail

I would prefer to have a QB coach with a history of success mentoring the first round draft choice than a guy who is using up a roster spot and should be working to be the best he can be, particularly when it appears he'll be the starter for at least a good portion of the season.

Do ya think Rosen starts for Arizona out the gate? Surely not with the $ they gave Bradford AND Glennon. Yikes.

I have a feeling he is going to crush it in camp/preseason and will be walking out to the huddle Monday night against Detroit in September.

Of course he is. You think someone like that’s not gonna separate himself from McCown and bridge. He has six times the talent
