...Would you do this trade? There has been growing speculation that Schaub could be on the block given he will be a RFA next year and they have so much money tied up in Vick. They have also moved back to a tampa style defense where a palyer like abe is central to the scheme. It seems like it would be beneficial for both teams....

It would also be huge for our cap short term cause Schaub costs like 500k or something.

  2. Abe and a 5th for Schaub and a 3rd.

Can you honestly see that ugly ass mug holding up a vince lombardi trophy? Good God is he stupid looking.

Matt Schaub does not hold the same level of talent as John Abraham does...I would be very dissapointed with that trade. I would much rather draft Jay Cutler and trade John Abraham for a pick or an offensive player to help build around Jay.

Abraham for Schaub and a 1st or 2nd. I like Schaub, but not enough to do anything close to a straight up deal involving Abraham. We'd need to get a VERY good pick in return.

He looks like a lobotomy patient. Seriously. But his forehead is too big to hide a scar.

I personally wouldn't do Schaub for Abe straight up, but I am definately a fan of Matt. If the Falcons were willing to trade pick #35 for Schaub, its a deal I'd probably do.

Would you really? I don't see how we can put so much faith in a guy who has only played in one meaningful game to take over as our franchise QB.

That says it all right there...

He isn't the best pass rusher, but like you said in another post, he is top 5...

Top 5 DE in the NFL
    for
    backup QB

If we did that...I would be a VERY unhappy camper.

If we got their second round pick as well I would like it a little more.

Well I'm glad we son't trade for a FOOTBALL PLAYER because he's "ugly". I wont take the time to post the picutre of Chads goofy face.

I think you guys are seriously over estimating the leverage we have with an abe trade....which is NONE. It is very clear to the league that we cannot afford him.

Many have said that they would trade a 2nd rounder for schaub in a second. Realistically that is what kind of value we are looking at for abe right now, given the lack of leverage we have.

Matt Schaub just doesn't sound like a big time NFL QB. I remember when Testaverde went down in 1999. The next day, Chris Russo was commenting on how Rick Mirer just doesn't look like a good QB wearing #3. Same thing here for me with Schaub. Just doesn't sound like a big time QB. Sounds more accountant-like.

Mark me down for Jay Cutler.

schaub and rivers are retarded trades. lets just hope we can get like a 1st rounder this year, and a 2nd rounder for next year.

i would take schaub for our 2nd rounder then trade down a couple of picks and pick williams or white, with the trade down we should aquire a 2nd for that then maybe trade abe to the broncos for one of there 1st rounders they need a DE. then pick up the better WR in the 1st or go OL. then in the second go with another OL. then the 3rd go with a guy like Bloom from colorado a fast ass receiver who will be overlooked cause he didnt play last year.now this could be pulled off. but it wont happen.

I could see a trade for Schaub or Rivers happening if the Jets felt like they couldn't afford a QB in the top 10 of the draft.

Either way I still don't see Matt as the Jets target to be the franchise QB.

I still see us drafting Jay Cutler at #4 or on a move down and I see us trading Abraham for a draft pick or two.

This trade makes the trade of a 2nd for A.J. Feeley look genius
