Palmer is good. Your Rbs are awful. I like your WRs. Heap is a good choice and Nugent is too. I would get rid of the Raiders Defense. I can't say something about your Defense players.
10 team league, 9th pick. Start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1W/T, 1W/R, 1D/ST, 1K QB: Alex Smith, Matt Schaub RB: Brian Westbrook, Reggie Bush, Brandon Jacobs, Adrian Peterson (MIN), Leon Washington, Brian Leonard WR: Terrell Owens, Anquan Boldin, Mark Clayton, Calvin Johnson, Jerricho Cotchery, Santonio Holmes TE: Vernon Davis D/ST: Chargers K Shayne Graham I really messed up on QB. I'm going to see if I can pull a trade with someone for a batter one. I generally try to avoid drafting Jets but Cotchery and Washington were probably the best options left when I picked them.
Jesus, man! Go out and find yourself some running backs! Was this like a 16 team league and you got stuck towards the end of the draft?
Looks like he went heavy on the defensive players. Still, I like Brandon Jackson a lot. But he is weak on the RBs - no question.
My 1st draft this year... 10 team league with these positions: QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, RB/WR, TE, K, DEF, D (any defensive player), DB, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN Starters: QB: Tony Romo WR: Andre Johnson WR: Javon Walker WR: Bernard Berrian RB: Reggie Bush RB: Travis Henry RB/WR: Ahman Green TE: Tony Gonzalez K: Shayne Graham DEF: San Diego D: Antonio Pierce (LB from NYG...ranked highly...any thoughts?) DB: Kerry Rhodes (Homer pick...any thoughts?) BN: Leon Washington (Another homer pick...but a good one!) BN: Sammy Morris (hated to do this) BN: Deion Branch BN: Amani Toomer BN: Jeff Garcia (Sorta my good luck charm from past leagues) If everyone plays to their potential I feel really good about my team. Only ? for me are Gonazalez and Romo. Opinions?
was a twelve team league and I just waited until the last minute to get RBs since all the RBs I wanted were taken early and i had the 10th pick in round 1
This is my money league team... we start QB, RB RB, WR WR, W/R, TE, D, K 1st round (6) Larry Johnson 2nd round (15) Peyton Manning 3rd round (26) Roy Williams 4th round (35) Marques Colston 5th round (46) Jamal Lewis 6th round (55) Chicago D 7th round (66) Vernon Davis 8th round (75) DeAngelo Williams 9th round (86) Eli Manning 10th round (95) Kevin Curtis 11th round (106) Ben Watson 12th round (115) Robbie Gould 13th round (126) Neil Rackers 14th round (135) Mushin Muhamed 15th round (146) Brian Leonard Starters QB Peyton Manning RB Larry Johnson RB Jamal Lewis WR Roy Williams WR Marques Colston TE Vernon Davis W/R Mushin Muhamed K Robbie Gould D Chicago I think I might be weak at W/R and if Vernon Davis doesn't live up to the hype I'll also be weak at TE. Before you ask I have no idea how the best QB in the NFL fell to the 15th pick. I didn't think LJ would fall to me either but the person with the 5th pick has a hard on for Willie Parker so he went 5th. I'm aso not crazy about a Browns RB when Charlie Frye is the starting QB
I'll join the party. 10 teams start 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF and 3 D players 1. Frank Gore (7) 2. Willis McGahee (14) 3. Antonio Gates (27) 4. Larry Fitzgerald (34) 5. Jerius Norwood (47) 6. Matt Leinart (54) 7. Tony Romo (67) 8. Laveranues Coles (74) 9. Santonio Holmes (87) 10. Chargers DEF (94) 11. Ladell Betts (107) 12. Devery Henderson (114) 13. Rex Grossman (127) 14. Jason Witten (134) 15. Adrian Wilson (147) 16. DeMarcus Ware (154) 17. Ed Reed (167) 18. Mike Nugent (174)
You absolutely stole Peyton. Stole him. LJ and Peyton is about as good a first two picks as you can possibly have. That being said, I am not very high on Jamal Lewis or DeAnge. I think you might have problems at RB2 down the line. Otherwise, your team in excellent.
I have no idea how all this defensive player stuff works with fantasy cuz I've never done it. I like everyone you took on your team offensively. I'm not crazy about Norwood but you took him at the right time. And having Gates is always a huge boost. Very solid team.
Ok let me throw my two teams out there.... Team #1 (14 Team League) This is an auction draft league (the best way to go in my opinion). The only downside is that you can keep 7 guys. Not alot of RBs available unless guys dump them for cap room or the contract runs out(you can extend players one time only, with the number of years increasing the cost of the player for each year added). This year I was able to get both James and McGahee after struggling with LaMont Jordan last year. QB Marc Bulger RB Edgerrin James RB Willis McGahee WR Reggie Wayne WR Donald Driver WR Jerricho Cotchery (was excited to get him as my #3, he could be a solid #2) TE Jason Witten K Nuge DL Ty Warren DL Chris Kelsay LB Antonio Pierce LB DJ Williams LB Channing Crowder SS Deon Grant SS Darren Sharper Backups: QB Matt Leinart QB Kellen Clemens RB Leon Washington RB Michael Turner RB Selvin Young RB Sammy Morris WR Brandon Jones WR Matt Jones LB Derrick Johnson DB Antoine Bethea Team #2 (snake draft, 14 teams drafting, 3 keepers per team) QB Philip Rivers RB Ronnie Brown RB LaMont Jordan WR Torry Holt WR Roy Williams WR Donald Driver TE David Martin (sucks, i know) K Adam Viniatieri DEF/ST Jets Backups QB Jason Campbell QB Daunte Culpepper RB Brandon Jackson RB Leon Washington RB Maurice Morris WR Anthony Gonzalez WR Chris Henry WR Brandon Jones WR Robert Meachem DEF/ST Saints
As always, I have no idea how fantasy works for defensive players but that's a pretty loaded team. My only criticism is that you don't really have any good back-up RBs.
12 team league I missed a couple picks due to internet problems at hofstra QB-McNabb HB-Deuce HB-LJ WR/RB-Edge WR-Plax WR-Galloway TE-Shockey DEF-Denver K-Im just going best matchup week by week BN-Furrey BN-Fred Taylor BN-Terry Glenn BN-Selvin Young BN-DJ HAckett BN-Grossman
10 Person League with the 8th overall pick Start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1Flex, 1TE, 1DEF, 1K Positions are listed in order of starting preference: QB: Rivers, Cutler RB: Addai, Bush, Julius Jones, Adrian Peterson (Vikings) WR: TO, Roy Williams, TJ Housh, Stallworth, Hackett TE: Winslow, Heath Miller DEF: Cowboys, Steelers K: Josh Brown
My 10 team league, 10th pick, we start QB, 2RB, 2WR, WR/RB, TE, D/ST, K Hasselbeck, Pennington Parker, Lynch, McAllister, Ad. Peterson (MIN) Harrison, Fitzgerald, Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Devery Henderson Winslow Jr. Cowboys, Jets Vinatieri
Just wanted to say I picked up Adrian Peterson in all 3 leagues I'm in, and some people thought I reached for him with a 3rd. Who's reaching now, mofos?
Further update on this team (Note: It's 10 teams and I had originally drafted LT and traded him, Eli, and Kenninson for Brady, Holt and Portis), I won my first week lopsidedly and scored the most points in the league, and then I dropped Ladell Betts (who I had picked up when I dropped Philly D) for Brandon Jacobs. Imagine this team come fantasy playoff time: QB Tom Brady HB Brandon Jacobs HB Clinton Portis WR Chad Johnson WR Torry Holt WR Hines Ward TE Antonio Gates DEF Baltimore K Robbie Gould And thats with Maurice Jones-Drew, DeAngelo Williams (who should have the starters job by then), Tony Romo, Edwards and Cotch off the bench! I love it.
