Yep. Warner Bros. rushed to catch up with Marvel and it did not work. It's funny DC movies are getting a bad name now. People say "Oh it's DC, what did you expect?" as if The Dark Knight trilogy doesn't exist. There are right and wrong ways to make these movies. It is still fixable. I wonder what the future is going to be though? We know Wonder Woman and Justice League are 2017 movies. Both have potential and both should be better than BvS and SS. Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie is what I want the most now.
I don't get all the hate for BvS... It wasn't great but just saw the ultimate edition (whatever tf that means) and enjoyed it...and watched it sober...lol
The theatrical version of BvS suffers from editing and pacing issues and those complaints are warranted. IMO, the extended cut fixes those issues as things are more fleshed out. So most of the bitching comes from spoiled/entitled fans not getting what they want or being catered to; "Superman doesn't smile enough, waaaaaah", "Why does Batman kill the bad guys? Waaaaaaah", "Superman doesn't have enough screen time (even tho he just had his own solo film), Waaaah", "Eisenburg sucks, Waaaah", "The tone is too dark, waaaaah". WB/DC is giving us different/elseworld versions of these characters like they done for decades in the actually comic books, but for some reason that's just not allowed in the big screen. The theater version has it's film making problems, no dispute there, but most of the noise this film generates from fans is no different than the noise you hear at the supermarket because of some crying brats parents refuses to buy them some candy at the checkout line.
I love the movie. Maybe because i enjoy the deep narrative that makes you think. I think thats yhe problem tho, marvel movies are mindless. What you see is what you get. BvS makes you put stuff together a little more. Not comparing the two but.......ya know they dont necessarily spell it out for you in the beginning of a beautiful mind, that the dude is schizophrenic. I thought it was much more put together than civil war but for some reason saying something bad about a marvel movie is taboo. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
I don't know what you mean by this. BvS is pretty mindless too. In fact it makes little to no sense. I like it more than I used to with the Ultimate Edition, but it's not a thinking man's movie at all. Haha.
Most people would say that about BvS. I get you taking a jab at my intelligence with your response, but it is true. I get people saying it is a fun movie and they enjoy it but I don't get someone thinking it is smarter than Marvel films. TDK Trilogy yes, but not Zack Snyder's BvS.
No one talked about Wonder Woman yet? I thought it was a pretty good movie. It might be slightly overrated by all the female power people, but it is still a well made film. Gal Gadot was great as Diana and Chris Pine was also really good. The villains were weak, but that happens alot in comic movies these days.
Good movie. Movie flowed extremely well. The tone was good, but I miss the Dark and Gritty vibe of the previous DCEU movies. I have a feeling with WW being a success, they will ditch it.
Yeah, you could tell they were ditching it anyway with that Justice League trailer. Looks like it will be Marvel Jr. from now on. Time will tell though. I still have high hopes for The Batman.
The Batman, better be dark dammit. I am looking forward to it also, and I hope they do a rendition of Under the Red Hood with Jason Todd and the Joker.
Yeah, I would love that. All the rumors of Deathstroke being the main villain hopefully are incorrect now with all the re-writes it has had. He would be cool to be part of the movie, but not a main villain.
