Yup Ian was shitty as u can get n fouts didn't even say anything for a minute after. Felt like they couldn't believe the jets won.

The radio call on the td was pretty damn good though.

    Hahahaaa that was great.

At one point the guy sounded like he was doing an Arnold impression.

I understood Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh.

Of course he had to make the obligatory Jew comment.

Ok that was a joke. No need to find a translator.

One of the only things I understood was him saying "offensive pass interference" after the pick play that freed Enunwa for 48 yards. Fucking biased asshole.

Seemed pretty fair - I heard him say Malcom Butler sucks

I need to figure out how to stream this instead of the stuff we get on Sundays. The only thing worse than listening to our English colour is watching a game on mute

Nothing like watching the Jets beat the Pats while listening to the announcers speak in German gibberish.

I like that the words "touchdown" "pass interference" and even "coin toss" don't have a German equivalent.

I know it would take a little work, but does anyone have the radio call matched up to the video of the final drive?

To be fair sometimes on TV it's intentional that the announcers will shut up for a few moments after the game ends so people can hear the crowd reaction, that gets accentuated more than announcer emotion. That said most NFL announcers aren't all that emotional period, Solomon Wilcots is a bit of an outlier, he goes nuts over everything.

I heard the color guy say "pick" on that play right away--he knows football which is interesting in itself.

The guys on TV sucked but Bob Wishusen's (Sp?) Radio call of the final drive was awesome.

Can't stand the TV guys since they are national and consistently suck Brady's schlong but Bob consistently makes awesome calls.

First, let me start by saying, my personal opinion is that German sound infinitely better cthan Spanish.

I don't entirely disagree with your assessment. However, I do believe, most of our announcers, being ex-players, are bound by a different set of etiquette.
I think the poise and unbiased play by play commentary is the only way it can happen here.
Could you just imagine this lolipop society's reaction to let's say, a commentator getting more excited about the one team over another? Then the hysterical crying that would inevitably follow?
It could never last. The ACLU would get involved, fan bases would feel 'disinfranchised' and liberals would ban this style of commentating. Damn the ACLU!
