The Lions will make the playoff in 2006 out of the week NFC north new coaching staff including donnie henderson who turned our defense around very quickly and Mike Martz who is known as an offensive genius even if he isnt a great head coach...They do have talent also, they've had high draft picks every year for the past 20 years even if half of them are wide recievers...also joey harrington is no longer their QB so they cant use him as a scapegoat anymore...I say the Lions make the playoffs or atleast go 8-8...the NFC isnt that strong especially the north, I wouldn't expect much from the packers obviously or even the vikings this year so if they can compete with the bears who haven't improved at all on offense then they are a playoff contender
possibly cuz there division is week but i doubt it prob next year unless ernie sims plays really well
