    According to ESPN, Brett Favre informed the Packers that he planned to report to training camp. Jets have asked and received permission to talk to Favre.

    This should help in the 2 QB battle of training camp. The funniest part would be if Favre became a Jet, then Mangini stressed it is still an open competition. :lol:

    They're shifty over there at ESPN. When I first posted the article, after I had clicked on it...it was a completely vague and different article. The banner headline trumped it so I posted anyway. ESPN/NFL network tickers are both blooming with this news though. Sorry Chad. We'll always have '00, '02, '04 and '06 but it looks like in this even year, you're the odd man out.
